Red Stripes Caribbean Cuisine & Lounge Bluffton

I had the Curry Chick Peas, Caribbean Slaw, plantains and the Sweet Potato Bread Pudding for dessert. All Vegan. Everything was a culinary delight! I will return again when I’m back in the area. Updated from previous review on 2026-04-29

Wanted some authentic food so we decided to try this spot and I must say it was NOT a disappointment. For staters we had Jamaican Rum punch it was fixed just right who ever fixed it was not afraid to use alcohol!
Beef Pattie’s and coco bread which was both very good, it was the best coco bread I had in a long time, my husband also ordered conch fritters they were very flavorful.
Our main course we both order Escovitch Fish with Rice and beans along with steamed cabbage OMG this was the BEST fish I’ve had in a very long time the snapper was cooked fresh and everything was seasoned perfect
everything went well together
We also tried the plate of just OX tails they were on the salty side for me but pair will with the rice
We also ordered Jerk wings to go for a late night snack they were good seasoned very well not over powering nice and tender

We came in and ordered a lot of jerk chicken for a group. I've never had chicken that good. It was incredibly flavorful and very tender. If I could order it to Chicago, I would. Highly recommend stopping in for that chicken. I'll be dreaming about it.

My favorite place to eat in the area! The food is always the best. Ezron and Keisha are so pleasant to be around. They make all feel like family. You have to give it a try if you’re in Bluffton/HHI.

I absolutely loved the quaint feel of the restaurant it definitely gave you an island, at home type of atmosphere ...and the food. RHATID!!!! IT NICE 😊 in English the food was very good and the portions was nice for the dollar spent.
