This is one of the best breakfast places I’ve ever been to. Service is still service here and impeccable , the food is hot fresh great portion size , Atmosphere is great and clean along with super clean rest rooms.. This just an awesome place..

What a charming and delicious place! The name intrigued us, so we had to try for brunch and were not disappointed. My husband had the Creamy Chipped Beef and I had the Grits on a Shingle. Both were cooked perfectly, served in a timely manner, and hot. The have an unusual way of entering by writing your name on a clipboard outside, and they come out and call your name. Since the entry and exit share the same door, I am sure this is a way they alleviate congestion around the door, and it works perfectly. Be sure to read the article on how they got their name! If in the area again, we will be sure to dine in again.

Ordered fried fish (grouper) sandwich and pink lemonade for lunch. The place was busy but there was no line around 1 pm Monday. The parking lot was packed after we parked the car. The fish was so fresh!! I would love to other dishes next time when I visit the area.
The employees waiting the tables were all friendly and attentive. Pay at the cash register when ready to leave.

The home fried potatoes and corned beef hash had to much black pepper/spices when served for my palate!. Otherwise, great hole in the wall cafe to visit. Will try again... different dish though! 😁

There was nothing about this place that I didn’t like. Pancakes, good. Eggs, good. Hot Honey Chicken Tender Biscuit, good. Sausage Gravy, good.
It has a very nice, laidback atmosphere, but maintains fantastic customer service. Everybody was friendly, they took very good care of us, my drink was never empty, and the food came out somewhat quickly.
I will most certainly be back to try other things.
UPDATE: I have been back two more times, including once for lunch. Still awesome!

I have friends that live in Bluffton and they found this place several years ago and go fairly often. They know all of the staff. This was about the 6th or 7th time I've been and we try to make it every time I come to visit. The staff is always friendly and the food is fantastic and the kitchen puts out food quickly. One of the things I love about Squat N Gobble is they are one of the only restaurants in the south that serves Scrapple. Although I grew up in the Atlanta area, my mom is from Pennsylvania so I've been eating it for 60 years. Look forward to coming back next Spring during my next visit to Bluffton.
