I really would like to encourage people in the Blythewood area to support this store: friendly owner and a nice patio outside*.
The selection was very small and there was an odd request to not touch cigars other than for purchase - a strange rule considering that the tactile feel is part of the experience of selecting.
*The patio was nice, but the food truck running a loud generator sort of detracted from the vibe. Not the cigar store’s fault, but it is what it is.
Sorry I couldn’t give more stars, but a small selection and uncomfortable noise experience kind of diminahed my appreciation.

Great atmosphere, excellent cigar selection, and a welcoming crowd. Blythewood Cigar and Wine is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a good cigar, and have great conversation. Definitely the best lounge in the area. It’s truly a home away from home.

This is a fascinating establishment. Veteran/black owned! The ambience is vibing and relaxing all in one accord. Everybody is so friendly. This is our 4th time visiting but first time during a weekday. We usually come when they have events, which are also amazing. We definitely recommend for a laid back good time. The beer and wine selections are very accommodating.

Nice place with outstanding owners providing drinks and a stable of cigars for your pleasure. I enjoy the experience to sit around and enjoy the full environment of this location.

I had a great experience with Blythewood Cigar—and I wasn’t even the one in the shop. A couple of weekends ago, my sister was visiting the Columbia, SC area and wanted to do something nice for her brother since she knows I smoke cigars. She went into Blythewood Cigar and told the owner she wanted to buy me a gift, but wasn’t sure what to choose.
While she was there, she called me and I told her I’m a full-body cigar smoker. That was all the owner needed. He made excellent recommendations, including a Foundation “The Tabernacle” CT Broadleaf (David 154 Perfecto) and a Padrón 1926 Anniversary Series Presidente (Natural)—both premium selections that fit my profile perfectly.
What really impressed me is that my sister also mentioned she was going to go somewhere else to buy a “gag cigar” she knew I wouldn’t like. The owner still came through with a smart suggestion and pointed her to a White Owl (New York White Owl) option—funny, on-theme for the joke, and exactly what she was trying to do.
That kind of guidance shows real knowledge and great customer service. When I’m in that area, I’ll absolutely make it a point to visit Blythewood Cigar myself.

Owner was very nice and helpful with whatever we needed. Great selection of cigars, plenty of TV's to watch all your sports and good selection of beer and wine to drink.

This was an Awesome spot. Great people who owns the business. Very relaxing and they have tables set up outside too. They had a DJ playing music also.

This place is awesome!! I came in to buy a gift for my dad’s retirement and I was pretty intimidated because I know nothing about cigars. But they helped me find the perfect thing for a special occasion and I will definitely stop back by the next time I’m in town! :)
