I was dying to go check this out. I was very impressed with the overall selection of goods, from beverage to bread to candy and meats! This time, I picked up a couple bags of Russian candies / chocolates to take home for the misses and myself to try, what fun. I will definitely be back. Very kind people and fair prices.

When the store first opened, I spoke with the owner and they were from the west side as well (so am I) I was excited to see the cafe open and have a place to go eat if needed. But this place has turned out other wise. First of all they are Russian people haters! Only Ukrainian everything. Second of all EVERYTHING IN THIS STORE IS EXPIRED! be extremely careful… literally pick up anything and it’s expired. They are selling candy For children that’s been expired for years for them to get poisoned! Third of all the prices!!! Are you guys out of your mind??? 4$ for a kinder egg? You all came here to the south with west coast prices! What makes you guys better than sweet co or the Ukrainian store in Inman??? Hopefully this store will be closing soon. I barely ever see people there that’s why everything is expired! They also closed the cafe because I’m sure nobody wanted to pay $20 for a cup of borsh! Take your store and your prices back to the west coast! Byeeee! If anyone wants to go to a good European store- check out sweetCo in Inman!!! You won’t be disappointed!

This is the second time I buy cottage cheese and it is moldy and was apparently stored in the freezer because it contains small particles.

The cakes I bought ( 3 pieces of cakes by pound, honey cake and two other cakes ) taste very dry. I feel they are not fresh. . . I had much better Russian cakes at other events and local Russian store’s from my experience.
Be careful if you shop here, most items I looked at were past their expiration date. I also tried some of their Pirozhki and it wasn’t good. There are other Slavic stores in the area to go to that have a better assortment of merchandise and don’t sell expired products.

Looks like negative reviews are being deleted (Otherwise, i wasn't gonna be able to leave another one). I once left one about an open package of marinated fish filets, that was being taped and put out on a shelf. I've came home with one, and seen a few more when was back at the store. I do have pictures and a video that I once posted. It's not in their reviews

AMAZING place. Borsch A+, cheburek is divine, coffee is ground and made to order. Great selection of slavic products, from pastas and teas to pickled tomatoes and Soviet sodas. I wish I lived in the area so I could become a regular. Я люблю тебя русский магазин))
