I used to love coming here. I asked to dine in over the phone. They made my sandwich as soon as I got off the phone & when I got there, she asked me if I want me sub warmed up in the microwave because it was cold. The sandwich was soggy as hell after she microwaved it. Very disappointing. Please hire more grown ups.

The employees were nice and greeted us as we walked in. Our family of 4 all had subs with combos and the subs were excellent and were exactly like we ordered. One of the top Firehouse locations we eat at!

The employees work hard, they are pleasant to talk to, and they work diligently to fulfill orders even though some customers have unrealistic expectations on order times.

Chico’s Review of Firehouse Subs in Camden, S.C.: Captain’s Club Sandwich
During a recent visit to Firehouse Subs in Camden, S.C., I decided to try the new Captain’s Club sandwich, and it certainly delivered on flavor. The sandwich impressed me right from the first bite, with rich, smoky flavors paired perfectly with fresh ingredients, making it a standout item on the menu.
One of the key highlights of the sandwich was Captain Sorensen’s Hot Sauce. The zesty kick it added brought out the best in the sandwich’s flavors without overpowering them. The sauce, combined with crisp vegetables and hearty, well-cooked meats, made each bite a delight. The white bread was another plus—it was soft, fresh, and held all the ingredients together without getting soggy.
The sandwich was presented well, and the portion size was generous—definitely worth the price. I also opted for the Captain’s Combo, which included kettle-cooked sea salt and vinegar chips and a drink, rounding out the meal nicely.
However, I did notice that the cleanliness of the restaurant could use improvement. Despite the good customer service and prompt delivery of food, almost every table in the dining area was dirty. A bit more attention to maintaining clean tables would have made the dining experience more enjoyable.
If you’re a fan of well-crafted sandwiches with a bit of heat, the Captain’s Club is definitely worth a try. It’s a fantastic addition to the Firehouse Subs menu, and I’m looking forward to coming back for more.
