We were in the area this eve, and picked up some dinner to go. Our order of stew Red Snapper with rice n peas & side of callaloo, plus order of doubles with 🌶 felt like we were at one of favorite BK Trini spots. Everything was on point and so deliciously seasoned. They did NOT disappoint👌🏾

1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience

We were so hopeful because of the great reviews!

We attended a recent event here and it was honestly a waste of money.

We paid $15 per person for entry, yet there weren’t even enough chairs for guests. If you’re charging for an event, basic accommodations like seating should not be an afterthought.

Now the food. Every single item on both of our plates was undercooked and excessively greasy. The cabbage tasted almost raw. The rasta pasta was already separating within five minutes of being served — the sauce had broken and was sitting oily on top, which made it obvious the food had been pre-made and simply scooped onto plates. It wasn’t even hot when we received it.

We returned both plates completely full. That should’ve been a clear sign something was wrong.

Instead of concern or accountability, the manager came with an attitude and seemed ready to argue the moment we spoke up. No effort to make it right. No professionalism. Just defensiveness. That alone guaranteed we won’t return.

Drink options were extremely limited — basically rum and Coke. That was it.

All in, we spent over $100 that night between entry, food, and drinks and left hungry and frustrated. The only positive was the DJ, who was genuinely good and carried the vibe despite everything else.

Beware: If you attend an event here, be prepared for limited seating, greasy and undercooked food, and management that may meet feedback with attitude instead of customer service.

We won’t be back.

After a very busy day at work, my wife wanted nothing more than some authentic Trini food. My daughter and I may have pilfered some of that pholourie before we left, it's just too good! 🤤 The owner is also very nice to talk to. Don't miss out on this one!

I had the veggie plate with Dahl, which is sweet yellow peas, recommended with the white rice, and baghi, which is spinach made with coconut milk. I had sorrel drink on the side, made from hibiscus flower & clove. All very tasty to me. We were a large group of ladies at lunch together. Much of the food is made to order, so prepare your tastebuds, enjoy the ambiance & whomever you are with there.

Call to ask a question….the lady who answered the phone screamed WHAT??? Loud ash and then once I repeated myself her rude nasty disgusting self answered with a rude No. From that call alone. I will never visit or spend money in this establishment. Nasty attitude…… probably nasty food.

What a wonderful experience! Sulonge was so kind and made the experience welcoming. The food was delicious and the portions plentiful. The buss up shut Roti with chicken was so amazing and flavorful. The sorrel was refreshing and the atmosphere was beautiful 10 out of 10 experience, I will definitely be back!

I’m from out of town visiting the area. I was looking for home cooking taking me back to the island. The food was quite delicious. My oxtails were on point. Thank you for your service and help to enjoy the evening with my family.
