I hate to leave less than 3 stars so I’m going to leave it at 3 stars. Our friends have raved about the food here so my husband and I decided we would go for lunch today. My mom owns restaurants so I’ve been raised around the service industry and love supporting local businesses! This has been on our list of local spots to try.Unfortunately, as pleasant as our waitress and the hostess were I’m unsure if we will be back. We sat at 12:10pm, our waitress came over shortly after. We ordered our food (Caesar salad with grilled chicken, quesadilla and a grilled cheese) by 12:15pm as my husband only has an hour lunch break. Our 2 year old was with us and growing increasingly hungry and tired.. I felt awful that she was starting to get restless. At 12:50pm we had not received our food or any communication as to what the hold up was so we decided to leave. There was a man who was sat after us, got his food promptly and paid all before 12:40pm.As we were leaving the hostess told us she would comp our meals and bag up what they had ready. We truly appreciated that gesture and she tried her best to make it right. I got to the car and gave my daughter her grilled cheese and fries- fries were bone cold, grilled cheese had definitely been sitting for a while. My salad was good, but it had also been sitting as the lettuce was soggy. My husband’s quesadilla was warmish.Overall, the food was good despite the circumstances. I’m unsure if it’s a kitchen issue? I’d say if you’re going to give it a try, allot more than an hour of time.

Every little thing is charged to your bill, sides of Ketchup, ice water and couldn't quite figure out the " taxes and fees " part of the bill. They more than tried to have me leave happy but the damage was done.
This place was so great before. Food took 35 min when the last 20 min there was no one left in the restaurant except one family. We did come at 130 on a Sunday so a lot of items were running out or already gone but that's not unexpected. Food was late, sides were cold, and when I told the owner, he had so many excuses. I paid, went back in because I was upset with his response and told him that. So he said "well what do you want me to do?"And I got more excuses. After more than 5 min, he did offer a refund. I was so much more upset, I left without accepting. Wow he was such a jerk. Basically, if you are a big party, sounds like they will treat you well. The owner does not care and he is so rude.

I like this restaurant so much that my family planned a surprise birthday party for me at the restaurant. The staff was kind and courtious and the food is home made and delicious.

The food was great. The boneless wings were the best I have ever had. The pork rinds were great. Food I rarely eat. The shrimp and grits were amazing. I was surprised in a great way. Sam, our waiter and the owner were very attentive.

We arrived after 7, restaurant was not busy. Got put in a back room, service was awful.Half of the group ordered burgers, and every single one of them was over cooked. And one member of our party got no meal at all. Got told their ticket got missed. Won't be back

This is my 2nd time at Rails, and it was disappointing. We were a table of 9. Most folks enjoyed their meals, but the shaved prime rib was really, really poor today. Two had it on salads and didn't eat any of the meat. I had it on a sandwich, they forgot to add the carmelized onions, the meat was overcooked and did not taste right. I haven't felt well today after eating it. I will still return to the restaurant based on the other meals (burgers, chicken salads,wings), but they should never serve beef like that - especially calling it prime rib.
