Love this place! It’s a little further out than some other Mexican spots, but totally worth the drive. The atmosphere is super cute, especially the outdoor area, they sometimes have live music.
The food is great for the price, with generous portions that really fill you up. Just a heads-up: you do have to pay for chips and salsa
Definitely one of our go-to spots when we’re craving good Mexican food!
The Food was ok, I ordered the California Burrito and my wife Had 3 taco, we also ordered a side of chips and salsa and 2 sweet treats,
The chips and salsa was nasty, the “sweet” tea tasted like it didn’t have and sugar in it, far as the burrito it was actually decent, wife said her tacos were good. Place was ok just certain things I would order and wouldn’t order.
Solid 5/10 probably wouldn’t eat here again
The best. Fast service and the best Birria in the upstate
always ❤️ the food and atmosphere (live music is such a plus and the outdoor seating area 😄)
Everything was great, especially the shrimp tapas and the chips with queso, salsa and guac. The drinks could be stronger.
Food was not great..Food was great last time, amazing in fact. I don’t know what happened. They NO LONGER have the shrimp cocktail appetizer that’s a big reason why I chose to have lunch here. All the other appetizer options are greasy and fried. Nachos cheese was on the bottom on the plate? Wings were cooked great, the sauce was too heavy and we needed wet naps for our hands. And the sangria “pitcher” $35 for 1 liter that made only 2 drinks. we were Very disappointed. This is no longer our Mexican spot. <\3
We were probably expecting too much because friends have raved about this place.
The food was so-so. Cheese on the bottom of nachos? Portions small compared to their competition down the road. The atmosphere is awful. You feel like you're sitting in some old house decorated with no theme and old, cheap furniture.
Might go back to sit outside with our pup, but not likely.
Friendly and efficient staff. Nice, authentic ambiance. Will recommend
The food was amazing and the staff was fast and friendly.
The food was great. Service even better. And very reasonably priced.

My meal here was very fresh and well prepared. Lots of variety on the menu and some things you don't see at a typical Mexican restaurant.

A family restaurant that packs a big punch. As an out of towner I am always looking for a gem but often times I come up short. That was not the case for The Mexican. A smaller, family owned restaurant, The Mexican delivers flavorful food and an overall great experience.
My wife and I ordered some chips and salsa and the fresh guacamole. That's when I knew I was in the right place. The guac wasn't anything overly complicated but the simplicity and freshness made it perfect. Paired with their home made chips I could have eaten my weight in chips, guac and salsa. Fortunately I didn't because my main entree choice was ramenbierria and it were out of this world! It was a cold rainy day and this dish just called out to me. I would have never thought to try this dish otherwise but I am a huge fan. The flavors of the meat and broth along with the fresh cilantro and onions was the perfect marriage of flavors.
My wife ordered the street tacos and could not stop dipping her tacos in my Bierria broth. She let me try it and what a mistake that was. We ordered another round of tacos and ate until we couldn't eat any more.
The service was really nice and super fast. We waited no time for everything we ordered however, it was really slow that day which helped alot.
We will definitely go back!

My new go to spot for day off grub. Ordered quite a bit of food--pollo fundido, really flavorful dish. Three types of street tacos--beef tongue(lengua), al pastor and chicken tinga, the corn tortillas are *chefs kiss*. A cheese quesadilla. Small order of chips and guacamole(chunky and slightly spicy, with add your own extra diced jalapeños). And birria tacos, which were to die for delicious and crispy. Thank you for providing a wonderful meal--our server was sweet and the kitchen crushed it. We will be back!

The food was excellent. Not your run of the mill American Mexican food.

Wow, best Mexican I've had in years! My family of four loved it. We all tried different versions of the nachos and they did not disappoint. Lots of fresh veggies and flavor, not just salt as with so many Mexican restaurants. The service was very warm and friendly as well. We will be back!
