We loved our experience here. This is arguably the very best meal I have ever had. We ordered Tuna Sriracha, Soft Shell Crab, and Shrimp Tempura Rolls. They were very well balanced, great textures, new flavors, and so satisfying. We had Salmon and Toro Nigiri, they were hands down the best fish I have ever eaten. They were perfect, you could not improve these dishes, absolutely impeccable. Lastly, we ordered the Duck Fried Rice with a poached egg; it was so luxurious. It was crispy, fatty, savory, and just a great indulgence. I will never forget this meal. Thank you 167 Sushi Bar for your mindful menu, and perfectly executed food.

Incredibly fresh sushi and great service! We chatted a bit with the hostess before dinner, she was friendly and provided some great recommendations. I’m not surprised by the quality or creativity of the menu at all. All of the 167 locations are unique, consistent and delicious. They are truly knocking it out of the park.
We were intrigued at first then very impressed. Quite helpful and friendly personnel, outstanding quality for the sashimi. And the items from the kitchen very good too. And guided us through the saké choices. Reserve (it’s small) and splurge.

Great food and staff! They were super helpful when we couldn’t decide what to order.We got the salmon shiso, spicy hamachi, and spicy lobster fried rice. They all tasted amazing, but my favorite was definitely the lobster fried rice.It’s a small spot that I can see filling up very quickly on a weekend, but I went on a Tuesday around 3/4PM and there was plenty of seating.
Clearly based on the reviews we are in the minority but we thought the food was awful and the service was mediocre. We begrudgingly finished our plates because we were hungry and it was so expensive. I enjoy a small, well thought out plate and don’t mind paying a premium, but literally everything we tried was unoriginal and lacked any depth of flavor. We were so excited to try this spot given the reviews and were left disappointed. There are so many amazing restaurants in Charleston and this one just missed the mark for us.

167 sushi was fantastic. You could tell the staff took pride in their restaurant with great service and thoughtful service. The food was amazing, highly recommended. And great service served by awesome people. Great combo I have not seen in a while. Rylie was our waitress and was a rock star!
We try all the sushi places in whatever city we go to, we are not experts, but this is our take on 167 Sushi. It seemed like they put some spice or salt on every piece of sashimi or sushi. We ordered a bowl of plain white steamed rice and even it had some weird spices in it. If you like that this might be your place, we didn’t care for it. We tried the sushi/sashimi with the spices on them then eventually ended up scraping it off before we ate it. They even put salt on the toro. We ended up finishing up what we initially ordered and leaving to another sushi place up the road. On a positive note, the service was great.
Very unique sushi preparations. The charred octopus is some of the best I've ever had. Fabulous bao and rolls. Tiny place but worth the trip.
