We loved the atmosphere in the patio! It’s beautiful and delightful. The she crab soup is delicious! We were here for brunch and I had the shrimp and grits but i didn’t like it very much.

The food at 82 Queen is fantastic, but our server “Scotty with a Y” was even better! Scotty made our night with his huge smile, amazing personality, and spot-on menu recommendations. He was so much fun and even took a million photos of our girls’ trip group! Truly fantastic service. Be sure to ask for him when you go!

Very nice room and convenient location. The server was very friendly and efficient. The food was good but nothing memorable. We had the jambalaya and crab cakes. Go to Chubby Fish.

Service was good, not great. Atmosphere, especially outside, is beautiful. The food…very average. My wife & I dined here on Thanksgiving Day, and you could certainly tell the food quality wasn’t good. There’s also an air of pretentiousness. In a city full of amazing food, this one overpromises & under-delivers.

Beautiful restaurant and building, amazing food and drinks, and wonderful service. Phil was our server, he made us feel very comfortable, gave great recommendations, and provided excellent service. Highly recommend the crab cake benedict for brunch.

Not only was it the best She Crab Soup in the city, I told my wife it was the best soup I’ve ever had in my life. And Scottie behind the bar was the man. Terrific service, drinks AND SHE CRAB SOUP!

Open since 1982, this restaurant in Charleston's historic French quarter focuses on fresh food, local cuisine and gracious hospitality. The restaurant is actually three buildings surrounded by a garden courtyard, giving diners the opportunity to eat indoors, in well-appointed rooms, or al fresco in tables scattered about the garden (heaters keep you comfortable if the weather is on the chilly side). Our server, Ariel, was a delight throughout the meal. She didn't rush us to order, instead encouraging us to take our time and consider all the options. she was very knowledgeable about all the entries, and was able to make suggestions based on her personal experience as well as her historical knowledge of previous diners. (The online menu has true-to-life photos of the options. Check it out from some mouth-watering views.) She checked on us frequently during the meal to be sure we were comfortable, but was not overly obtrusive. The experience itself was excellent, as was the food. We began our dining experience with cups of the most exquisite "award-winning" she crab soup. The other choices on the menu were equally enticing, but being from the Tidewater area of Virginia, we were eager to compare this soup to what is bragged about at home. I have to concede that the 82 Queen version of she crab soup beat out our local competition. I chose the lowcountry seafood gumbo for my meal. With shrimp, oysters, crab, andouille sausage, okra, corn, sweet peppers, onions, tomato broth, and Carolina gold rice pilaf, I was in heaven. My husband decided on the Jambalaya, and he raved about it through the meal. Our friend selected the fish and grits, and pronounced it absolutely delicious. All three servings were large, filling portions -- none of us left the table hungry! Nevertheless, we were tempted by the dessert menu and shared a heavenly slice of limoncello mascarpone cake. We left the table after a very satisfying meal and relaxing evening. I highly recommend 82 Queen for anyone looking for fine dining in Charleston.

We spent Thanksgiving at 82 Queen this year and it was wonderful! The food was fabulous Soutgern food and the atmosphere, and service were amazing. Our bartender, Scotty, was incredible!! He was charming, hilarious, and an amazing bartender who can make you anything you want, or make up something fantastic. Try out 82 Queen if you’re in Charleston!!

This gets great reviews for good reason. The food was excellent, the service first rate and the ambience warm and welcoming. This should be the first stop in Charleston for anyone who has never visited before and wants to try true local cuisine

This place was superb! Atmosphere was very calming, quiet. Great for in-laws. Food was delicious. Our server Phillip (shout out to Phillip) was great. He was very patient with all our questions about the menu and had wonderful recommendations. We had zero wait time without a reservation for thanksgiving weekend. Delicious food for the value. Centrally located in the French quarter, there’s a convenient parking lot across the street.

82 Queen is our choice in Charleston for a good meal with even better service. Scotty was our server again for our girl's trip. He's been my server twice now and he's really good at making you feel seen and special. We sat outside and really enjoyed the whole experience!

82 Queen is one of our favorite places to eat in Charleston. On this past visit the food was outstanding as usual. Philip, our server was exceptional. He gave us details on the food selections and was very accommodating with all of our requests.

It’s been many years since we have eaten at 82 Queen, but our wonderful memories were fully realized at lunch this past Sunday. The room was lovely as was the menu. Delicious Bloody Mary’s were followed by cups of their famous she cream soup, salads, fried fish and grits and of course, fried green tomatoes. But what really stood out was our wait person, Phillip. He was truly amazing. Friendly, personable and professional, Phillip made the experience one that we’ll want to repeat.

This was our second time going to 82 Queen and we ,plan to make it a tradition every time we are in Charleston. The location is beautiful and we look forward to it each time. The history of the building is neat and the way the restaurant is sectioned and utilized is cool. The food was amazing again! Our waiter Scotty was so gracious, kind, and knowledgeable. He took Southern hospitality to another level! My wife and I can't wait to return and hopefully Scotty can be our waiter again.
