I stopped in to get a drink and a small bite to eat. A.C.'s is a local dive bar with a few pool tables for entertainment. I got the fried mushrooms and they were pretty decent. It's served with a creamy horseradish sauce. I don't like horseradish but this sauce was the right consistency and flavor..not too overbearing at all. This is one of the locals' hangout spots.
Chill bar during the day, and an absolute party on most weekend nights. The place has an alright sized bar that can handle a lot of orders if there are enough bartenders present. The drinks here are good, and they do not skimp on the alcohol. The food is pretty tasty as well, even though it did take a little while to get. This place was awesome.
A.C.'s is definitely a dive bar, but I can say it was the best burger and fries I've had in a long time, maybe the best in Charleston. I went in for a quick bite while staying close by, I ended up there for 6 hours!
