This was a very disappointing dinner. Pork gyoza was fine but not good. Midi soup was bland. Shrimp and vegetable tempura: the shrimp was overdone, while the sweet potato was undercooked, the zucchini was wet and made the other tempura soggy. Chicken Pad Thai was overcooked, the noodles were mushy and had no flavor. The chicken tasted weird. Nothing felt fresh. This was our first time eating here and we will not be back.
This was a very disappointing purchase. Well over half of it went into the trash. We got Gen Tso chicken which tasted like nothing but Sriracha. Pad Thai which had absolutely no flavor at all. An order of gyoza which came with a half full thimble of sauce that was just soy sauce. And an order of tempura that was very small and very soggy.
The hostess was very nice and did a great job taking the order. But that was the only positive about the meal. Definitely the first bad meal we have had in this area.

The staff seemed very nice and accommodating however the food was completely distasteful. The hibachi instantly makes you feel nauseous and everything was greasy with the texture completely off. Portion was okay, however you arr done after 2 bites. Hibachi vegetables should not be soupy and chicken was really off. Just look and see...

Passing through Charleston a few days ago and finally got back to Savannah, but I have to write down something about Aji. The food there was great, sashimi was fresh and of premium quality. They had great selection of fish, and great wines and more. Our server Vivian had the sweetest smiles, and she helped us select our dinner entrees and they were excellent choices. My daughter told me that she reminded her of her elder sister who now lives in New York, sweet smiles and a kind heart. It was such a nice experience, my daughter ordered me to go back again next time passing through Charleston, and my wife nodded. So we'll be back for more.

Had the Kara age and the unagi don . I would prefer to the have the unagi don any day. I also experienced the Jasmine oolong tea in a traditional teapot which was nice. Overall it was a good experience. I didn’t make a reservation despite going on a Saturday so it seems like a good option for those who may want to try something new.

This has turned into my favorite sushi spot in Charleston for takeout. Have sat in once and it’s fine. Service was good but the interior needs some updating. Food is great though!
