Azul Mexicano James Island

Used to come here weekly but insane increase in drink prices (+60% for margarita pitcher during happy hour) Unfortunately just not worth it anymore.. it was also mostly mixer for $32 :(

We have eaten here often at the James Island location! However I do not think I will be back. One time we ordered their Pepe burrito before closing and the chicken was impossible to eat it was so gross and unable to even chew it! Fast forward to our dine in experience and the chicken tenders I ordered for my kids looked like waxy plastic. Never seen anything like it. The chicken in my enchiladas smelled like wet dog. This all needs to be addressed on what products you are using but I am officially no longer a customer.

Had a girl's night out yesterday. The food was great! I had a steak torta!! 😋 Big portions and very flavorful. Our waiter was very attentive and fast.
My only downside was dessert. Order some churros and ice cream to end the night and they were cold and hard. I would've rather they said no than make me wait 10 mins for something I paid $9 for and then threw in the trash.

This is our favorite place to get food with our family. Always fast, always fresh, Margaronas on lock! This James Island location is our absolute favorite Mexican place in all of Charleston. Nothing else compares for miles!

My Family first tried the North Charleston location a few months back, and as non meat or dairy consumers, we were pleasantly surprised at the variety that Azul Mexicano had to offer. As a lover of Mexican food that is authentic, I definitely recommend this place for food, service, and atmosphere. The next location was James island which was even better! Our server greeted us with a smile every time that she approached and made sure to check on us often. Although the music was quite loud inside(even in the restroom) we had the option of eating outside on a beautiful day. The bugs were pretty much non-existent, and the traffic noise was no issue as we sat and ate. The food was also perfect for two children ages 6 and under.

Love this place, it's great and quick if you're in a hurry. But don't be in a hurry, stay for a margarita or two. Thanks Valentina, and Edmundo at the bar! Jalapeño salsa is exceptional!

My man and I throughly enjoyed this restaurant the music definitely set the vibe and to be outside was beautiful. The food was delicious. Customer service was great bc the server kept checking in on us making sure everything was good. I would recommend dining outside if the weathers good.
