The food is always good, and the cook staff works efficiently, but the restaurant, itself, has become run down and dirty. Many of the tables were not clean, the floor was dirty, the windows were dirty and had tape all over, the chairs were badly worn and had big holes in them, and there were dirty mop buckets in hall to the restrooms. Sitting in the place and seeing all this was a big distraction. We don’t need fancy, but cleanliness has to be there. Some much better and not worn out old chairs would be nice. The dirty features made us question if wanted to eat there anymore. That is too bad because these problems could be easily fixed.
Bagel Nation is always consistently good. The bagels are as good or better then any in the Lowcountry. High menu too.

After coming here for 6 years and just ordering a bagel with egg and cheese for 8 bucks with a tip button for pick up service in my face, I think its time to retire from eating at Bagel Nation. When you raises prices you lose customers!

When I say this was the best bagel I’ve ever had in my life, I mean it. Exceptional service, exceptional bagels. If you’re in the area and are considering bagels from here, do it. You won’t be disappointed!!!

10/10 bagels, nothing like them on the peninsula or James Island. Better than New York. I would eat at Bagel Nation every day if I could. I seriously could not endorse this place any more. Trust them with my life.
Delicious, fresh breakfast bagel made hot and ready just after ordering. Very car friendly too (easy to eat while driving). Coffee was delicious and prices great. Would definitely visit again!

Really good, fresh food! My boyfriend and I stop here often for breakfast and Ryan is incredibly friendly and has memorized our names and faces. Always a pleasure seeing him. I recommend the plain bagels with the bacon scallion cream cheese. Definitely one of my favorite spots on James Island!

Over the years I found bagel nation to be a dependable location to get a quick bagel and get back on the road. Today I chose those this location for a sit down breakfast and was pleased by the quality, portions, and enthusiasm of everybody that woks here. The cook Travis does such high volume work and it arrives at your table a masterpiece of culinary bliss.

I have been going to Bagel Nation since they opened. Lately have been very disappointed on quality and quantity. The bagels use to be fresher and plenty of cream cheese. Considering you are paying around $5 for it. The strawberry cream cheese doesn't even taste like strawberries anymore. Sad to see a small business go from most delicious bagels to this.
