Love this place. They know what I want at the WA location. I just wish it wasn't so dark and worn out looking. JI location is really depressing looking.

Unfortunately the one time I decided to try this spot their pilot was broken and they couldn't do anything hot. I dont know if that was a sign or not...

The food was quite tasty, went with the Denver omelette with hash browns-I added onions and cheese to them for an upcharge. Also had an Asiago cheese bagel with cream cheese and everything was great! The lady who took my order very clearly didn’t want to be there and didn’t really want to take my order but everybody has a bad day. Will definitely be back because the food was solid!

Great place for breakfast and coffee. Bagels are the best in town.

I have been coming for years. I moved recently and sneak over when I get a chance. Everything is still delicious!! I go in the mornings and occasionally before the noon rush. Service has always been exceptional. If the line is long and busy, they are still quick and efficient. My favorites are the southern belle with tomatoes, plain everything bagel with butter, or the staten island as is and recommend giving those a try if not allergic. Would put this in my pros list as a reason to move back to Charleston.

Food is alright, but lady at front register is ALWAYS unpleasant and rude for absolutely no reason. Not even worth coming for that reason alone. Last time I had to wait for her to finish cursing about a customer to be acknowledged.

The food is fantastic. Service seems hit or miss. Friendly some days and others I nearly walked out.
The true NY experience, I suppose 🤷‍♂️
Anyways, the food is fantastic and I will definitely be back regularly.

Got the venecian veggie bagel. Was it good? Yep. Fresh veggies, bagel was nice and crispy and bagely. Was it worth 8$? Id say no, not really.. but if i didn't have to budget would i make this a weekly or biweekly thing? Yeah. I love a good bagel.

Edit in reponse to owner's reply: I think you're the idiot for openly advertising that you violate labor laws.
I love this place, but I'm leaving 1 star because this policy (pictured) is a violation of national labor laws.
Employers absolutely cannot garnish wages from their employees because of customer theft.
I encourage the employees here to report this to the NLRB, especially if they've had their wages garnished in the past due to this illegal policy.

Great food, great employees, unsafe work environment. This place would not pass an electrical inspection and is a fire hazard. Especially with all the dust. This floating junction box needs to be moved to a location it can be secured. This is a fire/electrocution waiting to happen.

The lady running the counter today was absolutely rude and had an awful personality ,the person that came in behind me couldn't even get sweet tea she had already dumped everything out including coffee 10 minutes prior to closing you shouldn't have people running your front counter that have total attitude problems , however the lady that came from the back that had made my sandwich was very nice and pleasant. I understand when you want to get your chores done so you can get out of there but when you're running a business you have to wait to do all of those things until the business is fully closed she was more focused on cleaning then customer service and treated myself and the guy behind me as if we were in the wrong for walking in there close to 2:00 every question I asked she had a problem answering.

This place is great if you’re specifically looking for a good bagel. The bagels are the standout here—fresh, flavorful, and probably some of the best in the area. Whether you prefer classic flavors like plain or sesame, or something a little more adventurous, there’s a variety to choose from, and they don’t disappoint. The texture is just right, with a nice chew and a golden, slightly crispy exterior. However, while the food is great, the overall experience could use some improvement.

The service is average at best. It’s not that the staff is unfriendly, but they don’t go out of their way to make you feel welcomed or appreciated as a customer. Sometimes, you might find yourself waiting longer than you’d expect, even when it’s not particularly busy.

As for the cleanliness, it’s clear that more attention to detail is needed. Tables might not always be wiped down properly, and the general atmosphere doesn’t feel as tidy or well-maintained as it could. While it’s not a dealbreaker, it’s something you notice, especially if you’re sitting down to enjoy your food.

All in all, this is a solid choice if you’re in the area and craving a great bagel. The food alone makes it worth stopping by. However, if you’re farther away or looking for a place with better service or a cleaner environment, there may be better options to consider. It’s a good spot, but not necessarily one worth going out of your way for.
