My wife's food and drink were 5 stars all day! The Blackened Mahi Tacos were a huge disappointment for us. Very fishy taste and texture was strange. Replaced the Mahi with the wife's pineapple Caribbean jerk chicken! That was so good! We really ate her dish and it made the Mahi fail be overlooked. Now if they offered perk chicken tacos here, holy cow that would be so good! Over all we enjoyed our meal and loved the atmosphere.
This restaurant was ok, nothing spectacular. I had higher expectations and was looking for more flavorful food. I got the jerk chicken and there was relatively little spice (more just salty). I also found the black beans to be [relatively] bland and overcooked. The plantains were the bright spot....not greasy and flavorful. My son got the seafood paella, it too was lacking in spice or flavor.
I’ve been here several times. I love their jerk chicken pasta.. it’s great.. I’ve eaten here and I’ve also done a lot of take outs for the family bundle jerk chicken pasta.. it’s hit or miss…However each time I have came in and ate at the bar. Mr.Darrell the bartender is absolutely amazing… Great customer service and he always goes above and beyond… He’s basically the only reason I come back…. He deserves a raise… If it wasn’t for him I would have given...
