Shockingly bad paella, a true surprise that it could be done so poorly. Like eating a badly cooked salt shaker

We dined here for my birthday and had an OK meal/experience. The issue happened when I checked my credit card statement and they had overcharged me by over $200!! They finally responded and acknowledged the problem, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt (accidents happen) but two months later they still have not issued me a refund and are ignoring any attempts to follow up. Their manager now claims he can’t issue a refund and needs the owner to do this. Huh?!? Have never experienced such maddening behavior with a restaurant so would strongly recommend avoiding Barsa as there is likely fraud and skimming occurring with their employees. When I called they thought I was a different person that had experienced the same issue (so this is not isolated) I’ll update this review as the saga continues….not letting up and they need to make this right.

Beautiful little date night spot. My wife is big on lighting for intimate nights and she said the lighting was nothing less of perfect to set the mood for the rest of the night. She may have had a little too much sangria that she said was a little strong.

Barsa was the perfect place for a large party dinner. The drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. Our group included a lot of dietary restrictions and all of our requests were easily accommodated. Most importantly, our server was incredibly kind and made the meal so much fun! Thanks again for everything!!

We celebrated 3 birthdays for the month of October and our 38 wedding anniversary. This is our 2nd time there as a family group. Super chill atmosphere awesome food, I wish I could remember our waiters name, the best service and great attitude. We’ll be back soon.

Parking: Under the highway free, next to restaurant there is a pay parking lot just depending on how long you’re there the fee will adjust up or down

Delicious tapas, paella, mocktails, and sangria. Our group shared 8 dishes (patatas bravas, broccolini, croquettes, olives, mushrooms, ribs, filet, cheeses) plus the veggie paella and chicken/chorizo paella. We had so much leftover paella because each pan is almost 2 feet in diameter. Highly recommend the Cinnamon Kisses mocktail if you like fall, autumn spiced flavors.

Stick to the wine and appetizers. Our patatas bravas was very good as well as the cocktails. Our paella was unfortunately disappointing. Rice was over cooked and seafood was undercooked.
Not the worst restaurant, I’m sure this was a small blip in their service. Server was very nice. Music was pretty loud and not very restaurant like.

My wife and I were welcomed in to Barsa by smiling faces. We were happy to see the choices on the menu along with the reasonable prices.
We ordered the roasted beets. Such a delicious refreshing dish. Secondly, the beef empanadas. The filling was spicy and very tasty. Finally, the seafood paella was cooked perfectly with deep flavor.
The only thing better than the food was the service. The server was honest, helpful, and prompt. We felt right at home. We would return to eat.

We’re open minded and enjoyed our visit here, but a few things fell a little short. A couple of cocktails weren’t available due to missing ingredients, and desserts were a bit bland. But the service was good, and the live music was great!

PLEASE BRING YOUR HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS BACK! They used to have the most amazing happy hour specials on drinks and paellas pre-Covid. We’ve been hoping they add it back so we can come more often and still hoping they do (from what the servers say they gotta get paid which is understandable ?) but regardless, their paellas are the best thing ever…better than the ones we tried all over Barcelona ? We get the seafood one everytime we go and it’s the first thing we do before being seated lol (it takes 45 mins and worth it!) My husband and I share a small and last time we were there got the medium for us and his parents which was perfect for 4. We get the sangrias to pair (again..can’t say enough about how much I’d like their happy hour specials back ::wink wink:: ?) and I hope they stay in business for years to come because they could never be replaced! Thank you Barsa!

Common Sense

We had a group of 8 people and we ordered 2 large paellas.. A large seafood paella had two pieces of shrimp(!!) and one small piece of fish in it – I’m not joking. It was simply impossible to share the meal, a half of us have not tasted seafood at all.. Rice was dry and uncooked..
I can recall in the past rice usually came well done with a sauce - but not this time.. It was so dry you could hardly insert a spoon :(..
The waitress informed us that she was unable to split the checks, suddenly it became a complicated task that she was not able to handle..
