We had a wonderful experience last night at Bearcat. We had a rare "date night" and chose to sit at the bar while electing for the chefs tasting menu.
WOW.
The food was incredible, the service top notch and attentive. Not gonna lie. Food was very good. Fine dining prices and somewhat limited menu (my wife and i were on the bar side so maybe they have a bigger menu on the dining side) but the flavors and textures of the food as well as restaurant design, music selection and volume and service were all been spot on. We shared the dumplings appetizer. Flavors and texture amazing. Bearcat offers an exceptional dining experience. The chef is praised for pushing boundaries with flavor blending and using local, fresh ingredients. The service is attentive and helpful, with knowledgeable servers and expediters providing explanations of each dish. The menu is limited, but the dishes that are offered are sublime. The pork belly dish has room for improvement, as it was served tepid. Despite some minor issues, the restaurant's location, vibe, and atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit. The tasting menu is a great experience, and the staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant. It is beautiful inside with very earthy nature vibes. The duck toast on Japanese milk bread is recommended as well as the oyster, monkfish and stroganoff. The staff made little cocktails for children. Zen and Dre balanced our table with an attentive manner.
