I don't think I was prepared for how amazing this would be. The woman who served us and made my drink was super nice and welcoming. And I had the lavender bees knees drink. Oh my actual god, it was amazing. I've had lavender based drinks before but this? Blew them all out of the water!
The other awesome thing was, I can’t have gluten (that's the not awesome part) and the wonderful and talented chef turned one of the sandwiches into a salad instead to help accomidate me. It was perfectly cooked chicken with bre, apples and bacon 🥓 on a bed of romaine. So freaking good!
I travel for work and I go to many restaurants all over the south, my main perk at the end of the day is to find local fancy restaurants to try. This one is right up at the top!
The place is clean, friendly, and well worth the trip. I highly recommend coming.
Dietary restrictions: There are delicious gluten free options. The fryer is shared with gluten containing items so don't get anything fried if you have celiac or are gluten intolerant. (Sad, I know lol. But my husband had the fries and he said they were great)
Kid-friendliness: This is more of an upscale bistro.
My kid is super chill and would only want the fries, so I can imagine bringing him. I guess take your kids personality and food preferences into consideration before going.
Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled parking available. The door is not automatic but I'm sure if you knock, someone would help. The bathroom is larger but I don't know if it's large enough for a large powered chair. A smaller chair should be workable. To sit at a table, a chair could be moved out of the way. I don’t use a wheelchair but have been to restaurants with people who do.

My stepmom and I went here for lunch yesterday and it was so good. I got the fried shrimp platter that came with fries, broccoli salad and hushpuppies. The shrimp had a very light non greasy batter. The brocoli slaw perfect and fries were not greasy and crisp shoe string. I don't normally like tartar sauce, but they make their own in house and it was delicious. One of the best lunches I have had but I am kind of picky. The server had a good vibe and the place is cozy and cool. My stepmom loved her burger. Everything was awesome! Highly recommend

Surprised how many "locals' don't know about this spot. Its tucked away in the back of a plaza off 61. I'm glad it's kind of a secret because it's a small bistro so if it gets too popular it will be tough to get in. Food is great and menu is better than most Southern style fry up places. Bar service is great with diverse options and local brews. Highly recommend giving it a try. Beet salad, fried tomatoes, scallops over mushroom risotto are a personal fave. You will leave smelling like grease due to it being a small bistro with open kitchen - only downside.

We held our son’s rehearsal dinner here, and the food was amazing. Chef Walton really did a fantastic job. The service was amazing as well and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you again for making our day so special.

Food and service are always excellent. My only gripe is that every time we leave there, our clothes smell like grease. Maybe they need a new ventilator system...otherwise I highly recommend Betty Lou's Bistro!

The place is looking a bit shabby but man that burger was killer. I was so juicy I kept needing napkins.
