Great place to dine! Celebrated my husband's 50th birthday! Great ambiance, food, and service!
I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. We ordered gnocchi that was so overcooked and soft it was inedible and had to be sent back.
Service issues were constant throughout the night. We ordered three appetizers, two of them didn’t arrive until after our entrées were served, and one never arrived at all. When we mentioned the missing appetizer to our waiter, he told us he had “just put the order in,” despite the fact that we were already eating our meals. In addition, multiple entrées for our table were forgotten entirely.
When we brought these concerns to the manager, no solution or effort to make things right was offered. We were also celebrating two separate occasions and informed the restaurant in advance, but there was no acknowledgment at all, which was disappointing.
We were a group of 8, and there is an automatic 25% gratuity for parties over 6. Being required to leave such a high tip for extremely poor service and bad food felt unreasonable and left a very sour impression.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this could be a much better experience with improved service, communication, and food quality. For now, I would caution others, especially larger groups, to be aware before dining here.

Pretty disappointed with the overall experience. The floor was not clean at all with a visible grime, and it was so slippery that multiple people (including myself) almost slipped and fell. This was not just in one section of flooring; this was all over. We ordered the 3 course meal, and not only did it take over an hour to get any food, our second course was the first plate out. Then the first course came out shortly after that. The manager did come over eventually and comped the first course which was kind and appreciated, but was still disappointed in the overall experience. Regarding the food itself, the seafood dishes were phenomenal. However, the braised short-rib was extremely underwhelming. I have made it better at home. The wagyu steak we got was completely covered in some sort of BBQ flavor sauce, greasy onions, and wet mushrooms which were placed all over the steak. (I think the rule of a good steak is that if you need a sauce with it, its not a good steak). It was also extremely hard to cut which was shocking considering it was a wagyu cut.
Tables are very tightly packed in so it is a good social atmosphere but not for a private or romantic dinner.
It was a great experience for my second restaurant week! However, there was a crowded and loud group towards the end of my meal, and the food and drink took a while to arrive even though it was semi-busy in the restaurant on a Wednesday.
It was excellent food. Unfortunately the wait was not a pleasant experience. We waited 20 minutes before our server came to see us. And the drinks took 30 minutes to arrive after that order. They did say they were short staffed but our appetizers arrived 48 minutes after ordering and the next course was 35 minutes later. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was fabulous. I feel the manager could have come around to the table to get more drinks for us or checked in on our food. We may give it another try but not for a while.
Food was outstanding! The ambiance and decor transported you to the luxurious roaring 20's. The cocktails were well-balanced and delicious. We will be back!
We were here last I think in 2019.and that visit made me choose Angels Envy as my Bourbon of choice. On this visit, the Crispy Rice was exceptional, Short ribs as well. The Truffle fries had great flavor but barely warm so we sent it back and the next plate of fries was only slightly warmer. So I will blame it on the kitchen management. Our server was great but the time between courses was longer than acceptable, again it was probably kitchen staff. The lack of Value was in the drinks at the bar....$29 for an Angels Envy Manhattan, I'll guess that's a Downtown price.
first time here so was surprised that there were only small tables typically used in a bar so it was tight. We ordered flatbread as an appetizer which had no flavor & was soft then split a cobb salad which was just ok. The entrees were pork & the risotto which were both very good but probably will not go back

Delicious meals during restaurant week! Took us a long time to get our food (an hour just for our apps and another hour for main course) but we had nothing to do and the food was outstanding so we were fine with it! Waitress was very accommodating and we received frequent service for drinks. Great restaurant!
Had a 7pm reservation and was seated at 7:20. No big deal, but another 20 minutes before our order was taken. We had the 3 course dinner special, which was good, but we didn't finish until 10pm. Way too much down time between courses.
We went for restaurant week. As always, the vibe is fun and drinks are good. First 2 courses we very good. The third course all around the table (4) was a little disappointing. Their regular menu is Always fabulous though, so we will be back
Nice work.

Georgia, our tour guide was phenomenal!! She was friendly and bubbly and knowledgeable about Charleston. She was made for tours like this. I really, really loved the idea that we could pick out random ingredients and then get a tour and THEN enjoy one of the best meals I ever had, cooked up my Chef Mike! Chef Mike and his kitchen have some serious talent!!! We will be doing more tours in the future.
