We were delighted to bump into this Cafe for a morning cup of coffee. I enjoyed a butter biscuit with egg and a chai latte which I nibbled on as I walked the rest of Broad Street to Colonial Lake. The staff were super friendly and the cafe is cute with a nice selection of merch.

This place is a great addition to downtown Charleston. Not only were we starving, but also in a rush with out of town guests to get to a walking tour. The staff was super understanding and friendly and got us our food fast! The bacon and egg and cheese bagels and coffee were delicious and easy to eat and take along with us. Also grabbed some extra snacks for later! The dining room was cute and would have been a great place to sit and chat over coffee if we had time! We will be back!

I put an $18 surprise bag of bagels. What I got were six day old plain white bread flour , tasteless , little bagels. The atrium at the other end of broad strip has much higher quality food. The service at the Broad street cafe, though, is pretty good. The young woman was very nice

We stopped here briefly before going to Fort Sumter. Meter parking available, we luckily got a spot across the street. Very clean and relaxed atmosphere. There are a few tables and counter top window seats. The staff was friendly and helpful. The biscuit I had was fantastic. Buttery and delicious.

A museum guide recommended this cafe for a healthy lunch with generous portions and we were elated with our experience. From the simple, yet comprehensive lunch menu to the friendly staff, calm atmosphere, and great jazz in the background, we recommend stopping here for a hearty repast from your travels. Our Greek and Caesar salad with chicken were huge, fresh and satisfying. The bakery offers a variety of pastry and Jack’s bagels. We were so satisfied that we hope you will check out this new eatery soon.

The coffee is great, the place has a very homey feeling with a beautiful interior. And the owner Tom is a gentlemen. My girlfriend and I can’t wait to come back!

A tasty, quick sit-in / carryout breakfast experience. We had the 'Classic (scrambled) egg and cheese on biscuit' with a coffee in my case. It was disappointing for my wife that there was no breakfast/ black tea! Thank you to cook, Miguel, and the very welcoming, engaging and friendly, Lily🤗

Popped in on a Saturday morning for a salmon bagel and cappuccino before wandering around Charleston. Quick and friendly service, dog-friendly restaurant, and great location. The salmon cream cheese bagel was PERFECT. Each ingredient was chosen with care, and the flavors were perfectly balanced: the tomato, the red onion (not overwhelming), capers, smoked salmon, cream cheese. All of it together made my morning and left me filling full for my morning walk. Don't let the $15 price point on the Bagel Royale deter you - it was worth every penny. The cappuccino was good - nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. The window-facing seating offered an opportunity to enjoy an early, lazy Saturday before Broad Street got too active. Would recommend. Next time, I'll come back with my dog on a lazy Saturday walk.

Broad Street Café is my go‑to spot for out‑of‑town guests exploring downtown Charleston. The Bec breakfast sandwich is my absolute favorite! The recent renovation adds bright, airy space to a charming historic building. It’s the perfect, welcoming breakfast and lunch stop for anyone enjoying a day in our beautiful city!
