Food was good. The create your own loaded French fries plate was good and portion of fries were huge. Cocktail menu wasn't great, but that's a common problem in Charleston.

We really wish this place had better food. We’ve been here a few times now, and each time we’ve gone, it turns out to be a huge disappointment to us. It’s just not good. The restaurant itself is really fun to be in, it’s a great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. We wish Bumpa’s and its staff nothing but big success.

To be clear, this is not a “gastropub”, it’s a bar. Burgers were ok, fish and chips was heavy on the batter and grease. Order of fries was HUGE, with tons of toppings- best thing we had. Service was great. If you are looking for beer and pub food, it’s not a terrible place.

Great experience in an Irish Pub setting, inspired by the travles of the founder's grandfather. I came for the Scotch Egg, but the signature experience is their fries. With portions large enough for a family of 4, and what seems to be a limitless combination of ingredients, the fries are the marquee act. Their variety of mixed drinks is good as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Service is fast. Location is convenient to the waterfront and the downtown Charleston tourist area.

I had the haymaker it was so good.it was a large portion od chicken and the special sauce was very good. sauce had a sweetness to it. I didnt order "chips" but my husband odered fish and chips and there were plenty for both of us. The owner stopped by our table and was very friendly and told us history od name. server was also amazing. Would definitly eat here next time I am in town.

We were treated so poorly, and for no apparent reason. The hostess was extremely rude. The food was not good. I am a huge fan of fish and chips, whenever I see it on a menu I order it. This was just a big chunk of fish, very heavily battered and awkward to eat. I hope that lady finds happiness in her life, we definitely didn't have a good experience.

This is by far some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth. The burger was great. The loaded fries.. oh my… we didn’t know they’d be enough for 3/4 people but my husband ate just about all of them. The first time here, and plan on coming back to try everything. Food was fantastic and the service was great!

Food was meh. Ordered pretzels as an appetizer and they weren't really pretzels? It tasted like bread covered in old oil. Burger was okay. Servers were rude and inattentive.

The stag and boar burger was doused in Italian dressing. Fries were an extra charge and the serving size could fit in a shot glass. All around terrible. Plenty of better bars around the area.
