Bushido is an awesome spot , super fresh sushi every time. The service is always on point. It’s a nice little date spot , nice casual relaxed environment . Definitely go if your craving sushi

If you are a person of color I would recommend staying away. As you are looked at right in your face and not acknowledged. Yet, to your surprise when a person of a different race steps in you are again not acknowledged as if they walked in before you. Let's not forget to turn on translator so when you confront them you hear that you are being talked about instead of being apologetic or empathetic toward their blatant disregard of your presence.

Subpar meal in a musty restaurant with the slowest service you will ever experience. It’s actually impressive how slow it is. It’s almost like they’re trying to get no one to come back. Maybe they’re crazy short staffed, but I didn’t see anything about hiring, so idk what’s going on.

I have a lot of grace for restaurants. This was so bad I had to post.

Service here is absolutely god awful. Be prepared to be greeted by a woman who won't stop watching TV on her phone long enough to do her job. After telling you food will be a minute for pickup without ever getting up to check, she will have an attitude and say she doesn't make the food when you ask for an update after waiting 10 minutes. Calling and complaining does nothing as the other workers say they are managers and then do nothing about it.

The restaurant closes at 9:30pm. Stopped in with 4 hungry kids at 8:50pm. After being seated and given menus, we were told the kitchen was about to close and told we needed to order to go after the waitress rudely snatched the silverware off the table.

I have been here twice so far. Once for dine in, the other for takeout. Both times everything went very well. I love the chirashi, not too much or too little, generally a good portion size and very delicious. They also offer online ordering which made my takeout visit quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for sushi in West Ashley.

“Hi, welcome in! How can I help you?” I guess is asking too much. Instead I walk in and get ignored by two staff members standing at the counter doing nothing until I speak. Happens often. Always weird vibes.

We went there for the first time in years a few weeks ago. As usual the food and service was excellent, but we were the only people there and our servers kids were sitting at a table nearby and he yelled at them the entire time. It was very unpleasant!
Edit: the owner responded to this, blaming the children. To be clear: the children WERE NOT THE PROBLEM, we didn’t hear them at all. The man yelling at them every 3 seconds was what made us lose our appetite.

I ordered food through DoorDash to be delivered to me. This restaurant lost the ticket and tried to blame DoorDash that it was already picked up. They only remade the order after I had to go in there and tell them that the food was never made, they then confirmed that they never made my food to be picked up. Waited over an hour, in total for my food to be made, they said they were going to include some thing for the inconvenience. It was a side salad. They didn’t even give me the extra sauces I paid for after all of this.
