Let's not pretend this is a French bakery anymore. The high quality standards of the original Cafe Framboise are no longer there. The atmosphere is depressing, the cinnamon rolls looked anemic, and they had very little to choose from. The ceiling was leaking water into a bucket and it wasn't raining outside. The chocolate croissant tasted old and store bought. The Madden was supposed to be on challah bread, instead it came on store bought toasted, stale white bread. No flavor. Dissappointing. I could get better pastries at the grocery store. You can't charge the original Cafe Framboise prices when the quality is this poor. TLDR: Food and atmosphere were bad. Go to Saveurs Du Monde instead.

This was a great start to the morning in Charleston. They had gluten free bread for their breakfast sandwiches. The coffee was fresh and hot, and the location is great!

Decent coffee shop. I got an almond croissant which was good. Nothing mind blowing but was a good place to get a quick bite in the morning. The worker was really nice and friendly. They warmed it up for us which was nice.

A bakery couldn’t be worst than that, the kitchen is closed, most of the pastries weren’t fresh, the croissants were store bought and almost an empty fridge! It was only the coffee blend and almond croissants that are good but overall, not recommended.

Dog friendly patio plus French patisserie is a great combination. I had a lovely ham and Swiss croissant that was light, flaky, moist, and savory. My date had the Nutella and strawberry crepe and took a chicken basil flatbread to go. (important to note, online menus say they have paninis but they do not.) The crepe was fantastic, the flatbread was very good and tasty, the chicken cooked well. All told a wonderful breakfast with on-site paid parking in the same building as ? Target. It was counter service but they were friendly and competent.

The food (madden & quiche Lorraine) had no flavor...none. Cleanliness inside was not good (dirty floors & smelled like gas) and had to clean our own table. Coffees were terrible. No customer service at all. We were not greeted and when we asked questions, the person seemed bothered and the other person working behind the counter (cook?) looked angry that we were there. Odd. Side note, one of our party enjoyed the bananas foster French toast.

On the menu it says the sandwich comes with Dijon. Well there was a tiny amount of mustard, yellow mustard, not Dijon. When I asked for a side they said they didn't have enough supply to give me a side and then the man working in the kitchen came out and aggressively, to the point she thought he wanted to hit us, yelled at us they don't have Dijon to give me a side of. Or use apparently. If the food was good, or not beyond expensive, it would be all good. Or if the guy who works in the kitchen didn't aggressively attack us. How a French place doesn't have Dijon or enough of it is beyond me. And the place is filthy. 0 stars if I could. STAY AWAY. Update: a few hours later, extremely Ill. Thanks for your "chef" aggressively attacking us over asking for a side of Dijon mustard and giving us food poisoning.

After being put on a wayyy too long wait list at Miller's All Day, we found Cafe Framboise on Yelp and made our way over to enjoy a late brunch / early lunch. The restaurant was highly rated on both Yelp and Google, and we were pleased to see no wait (we were all hangry!). Right off of King Street, Cafe Framboise is a little off the beaten path, but easily accessible. They had a decently spacious outdoor dining area, so we snagged a table here after we ordered inside at the counter (there is also seating inside but when in the south, must dine outside!). The decor is nothing special, pretty basic cafe vibes. All ordering is done at the counter, and they have the menu on a large board and an extensive counter of pastries / treats. The employee that day was very helpful and guided us through his favorite options, and he also took some time to ask us where we were from and why we were visiting, which was a nice touch. Our food was ready pretty quickly, which was much appreciated given our hunger! The menu is actually pretty extensive for the small-ish space. Everything has a bit of a French vibe (not surprising), and they range from sweet option like crepes and pastries to more savory offerings like quiche and panini. I was in the mood for something more hearty, so I surprisingly steered away from my go-to sweet options and went for The Madden. This sandwich featured egg souffle, Swiss, bacon, and avo on Challah bread with a side of fruit. The flavors were good, but lacking a little something - maybe tomato as an addition? The egg was incredibly fluffy though and I loved the avo pairing. The bread didn't quite taste like a Challah, more like regular toast, so having a more unique casing for the goodies would have made it a standout. I loved the fruit cup side rather than a grain / starch! My sister loved her avo toast and accompanying salad, saying it was quite tasty and filling. In retrospect, I wish I would have gone for the Quiche Lorraine to get more of a French-forward dish, but that's for next time! I didn't try any of the pastries or sweet options, but would love to experience them next visit. Overall, Cafe Framboise was a solid option for brunch and was a faster option for food than some of the other options in Charleston. Their menu is pretty extensive and has something for everyone, and the dishes are nicely done. Would recommend to anyone in Charleston looking for a French vibe and quick service!

I absolutely loved my coffee but was not a fan of the avocado toast or the flatbread with side salads globes with vinaigrette. We probably should've skipped something savory for a sweet but hunger for the best of us. I hope to come back and give this cute hidden little cafe another try again and will make sure we have a cake or pastry instead.

I love crepes so much I started an Instagram page called “Crepes Across America”. We’ve had crepes all over the country on our travels and these are the best we’ve had, and we tried the others in Charleston as well.

Like a previous poster this restaurant was a staple for me. Loved their “Parisian” breakfast which they no longer have. New owners have ruined this place. Food is no where near the quality it was before. The selection is minimal and staff was unwilling to change sides. So disappointed and will never return. Previous good reviews are for previous owners!! Beware!

Just ate here. Place was great. Food was too. Strange plastic in my banana Nutella crapes. Told the gal behind the counter. She grabbed it threw it away. Proceeded to ask if I'd like a new crape. I said no thank you. Would have thought a refund would've been offered. But, that's okay.

Came with a group of 4 people. Not 1 thing came out good. Coffee was served in a dirty cup. Frittata was undercooked. The avocado toast was Ok.. French toast was more of a cake than bread, also under cooked. Would not recommend at all

I’ve visited crepe restaurants across the country. My wife and I love crepes and it’s become a travel tradition to fine crepes for breakfast. These are the best we’ve had to date.

Really cute place. Food was good, but the menu was a bit more limited than I expected. They had crepes, sweet only. Would have loved a savory option as well for breakfast. Overall, would love to go back
