My friends came to town a back in July, and one of them loves going to high tea. We decided to choose Camellias because of the tea selection. The tea itself was great and the place was cute. The staff however were extremely rude to us, and basically ignored us 80% of the time. We booked the reservation on their website, and we thought it was super odd that it didn't ask us about food restrictions, and we definitely looked for it. I'm a vegetarian who has a mushroom allergy, and both of my friends have a shellfish allergy. We told one of the staff members about me being a vegetarian, and he rudely stated that it didn't say that anywhere on our reservation and didn't even let us explain that we wanted to put that in our reservation, but there was literally no place to do that. We didn’t even get to tell the staff about our actual allergies, so we couldn't eat a decent proportion of the sandwiches and the like. We weren't the only table that had food restrictions and didn't find a place to enter those restrictions. The other group that also had that same issue was treated poorly as well. I don't know if the person who set up the booking online program checked to make sure everything was working properly on their site, but someone needs to. The food that we could eat wasn't worth the price, and my friend was a pastry chef for 10 years and there was one good dessert out of what was brought to us. For the price, the staff needs to have better manners, and listen to their customers concerns. We were all excited, got dressed up, and was just left disappointed.

Very small sandwiches and scones! Not enough food for the price of the tea. Also the selection of teas is limited. This is comparison to teas we had in different places like Chicago, Maine, NH, and Europe.

Our server Chelsey was fantastic- and as many others have said you cannot beat the chic atmosphere and great vibe. Look forward to returning soon on our next trip to Charleston.

We are locals & have always wanted to do tea service, so I brought my daughter with a friend for her 5th birthday celebration. Wow!! What a treat. All the snacks were yummy, the tea was delicious, our server was amazing. & the rose for grown ups was a welcomed addition as well! We had such a lovely time being “fancy” & enjoying the atmosphere. Both my daughter & her friend were sad to leave & disappointed that the rest of the world is not as pink as Camellia’s. I will be back soon for a girls trip!!

Service and ambiance are great. The tea is lovely. Desserts are plentiful. Savory needs some help. Not enough food. Very tasty, but more food would be a better value. Overall, we had fun. Thank you.

I had a delightful experience at Camilla's on King St. in Charleston, SC. The Santa tea party was enchanting, and the hot chocolate and tea were exceptional. The festive atmosphere and attention to detail made it a memorable and beautiful event. Highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: They accommodated gluten free.Kid-friendliness: This was perfect for my young daughter! She was thrilled.

We went for the Holiday Tea. The tea was cold and had to ask the server to warm it up. Portions are small, and they didn't inquire about allergies. There were lots of seafood/gluten served. The restaurant is beautiful but loud.

The team went above and beyond! My niece was so sad she didn't get to see Santa (we accidentally booked the regular Christmas tea)! They worked fast and got us in to see Santa and Mrs. Claus — my niece lived for the magic pink marshmallows and story time) They did such a good job and we felt so taken care of! Everyone was kind and the sequence of the tea party was perfect!

I booked being told it was a Santa tea, it was extremely expensive and sold this way online. We were give. Once glass of bubbles and barely any food for $75 a person. I called to ask for money back over Santa not coming and nobody ever returned my call. I am appalled! My kids were so disappointed. I live locally and have made sure to let anyone know this was a major rip off

Tea with Santa was AMAZING. Mrs. Claus and Santa made it so special. They each spend a good amount of time talking with every child in the room. It was so sweet. Definitely going to be a yearly tradition for us. That being said, the food served is not very great especially for the price. They could really get more creative with the kids plates. Cucumber sandwiches and fruit cups aren't going to cut it for toddlers y'all. And they charge $45 for that...

Our experience was the annual Tea With Santa. My daughter, myself and my granddaughter, age almost 7, loved our time with Santa and Mrs. Claus. They were incredible with the children present and I know my granddaughter felt their individual attention and soaked it up! The tea offerings are lovely, as expected. Does it compare to High Tea in England? No, tea is much more robust over there. However, it was nice and the sparkling Rose didn't hurt either. I highly recommend trying the Tea With Santa one year to jumpstart your holiday season! Also, that life size Gingerbread house was amazing and very fragrant, Merry Christmas!!!

Tea was incredibly overpriced for what we got. I'd go for a drink but would not go back for tea. The food was mediocre at best and no one should be charged 80 for unlimited tea. They REALLY lean on the atmosphere as everything else was lacking.
