Our server, Jamie, (Market Street, Charleston Crab House location) was great! Attentive, speedy, friendly and helpful- we had appetizers and a drink on the rooftop patio, and it could not have been better - great food, great service, we’ll be back! (And ask to sit in Jamie’s section- 👍)

My mother, sister, and I came in last weekend and had an amazing dining experience. Our server Tori was very kind, friendly, and aware of our needs. Making sure to give us the best experience possible. We ordered the low country boil, redfish dinner, she-crab soup, and hush puppies, which were all delicious and filling for the three of us. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area!

Got two appetizers and two of the Alaskan crab steampots - everything came out very hot and fresh. Steampots were large and delicious. Our waitress was very attentive. Good for the price.

We stopped by the Charleston Crab House on Market Street and had a great experience from start to finish. The location is perfect—right in the middle of downtown—but it still feels laid-back and welcoming.

We started with the hush puppies served with honey cinnamon butter, and honestly, I could’ve just eaten a whole basket of those. Sweet, crispy, and warm—the perfect way to start.

Between us, we tried a few different entrées: the grilled fish topped with creamy sauce, mashed red potatoes, and slaw was hearty and full of flavor. The seafood platter with shrimp, scallops, and fish was cooked just right and came with red rice and lima beans—classic Lowcountry. We also had a fried fish sandwich with waffle fries, and it was just what you’d hope for: crispy, hot, and super satisfying.

Service was friendly and fast, and everything came out hot and fresh. Great portions too—nobody left hungry.

If you’re downtown and in the mood for some solid Southern seafood without the tourist-trap feel, Charleston Crab House is definitely worth a visit. We’d come back again just for those hush puppies!

Yesterday treated my parents to what they both said was the best restaurant meals they have enjoyed in the wider Charleston area - soft shell crab and grilled seafood trio in many attempts. Outside on the patio with an incredibly gracious and attentive server (Kathy Lynn? - a recent transfer from Phoenix) made the experience all the more remarkable. We’ll be back and as this review attests - will recommend to others. Thanks for your successful efforts.

My family and I wanted to venture out and try something new. We traveling almost an hour and decided to stop at the location on Mill St in Mt. Pleasant. It was a beautiful day so we decided to sit outside on the patio. We received our food and was eatting our food when all of sudden the wind blew and blew the extra large umbrella onto my self, our table and my daughter, causing the table to tip, my wife was able to catch the table from falling on us. I took the brunt of the force as the pole knocked me in the head and neck causing me to fall over as I was trying to catch my daughter from falling over. We both fell. A nice man, eatting at the next table came and helped get the umbrella off of us. My daughter was crying, my wife picked her up and I am covered in scrapes and bruises, immediately. They did come over and ask if we were ok and put the umbrella to the side ( but I don’t even know who they were). It could have been a manager I am not sure. No one asked my daughter is she was ok or even attempted to stop her from crying. I said I am worried about her more and pointed to my leg. The sever was good and she did ask if we were ok (not any fault of hers). I know the wind wasn’t the restaurant fault but this is your restaurant and you didn’t seem to really care. I hope we will be ok because I am pretty sore my neck and body and legs. I have worried the industry before in management and def would have offered something. If not to me then to my child. Also my wife couldn’t finish her food and five min later they brought us the check. No one checked on us on the way out either. I def will never be eatting there again. And hopefully I will be ok. If there was a place to upload pics I would but just be caution to stay away from the big blue umbrellas and a management who did not care except to ask one if I was ok.

Sat at the bar to try the She-crab soup I had heard so much about. It was meh. But the bartender was great. In and out in 30 min. Would go again.

Oh yes! My Lowcountry Shrimp Boil, sans Old Bay Seasoning, was delicious! The simplicity of butter and garlic cannot be beat. The garlic bread was crispy and subtly flavored. The salad fresh. And the chocolate cake? Well that was delicious too! Nice ambience. Great service.
