Absolutely phenomenal dining experience! Charleston Grill has easily become my favorite restaurant. The tasting menu was divine—every course was flavorful, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully curated. The live jazz music and elegant atmosphere added the perfect touch to an already wonderful evening.
What truly set the night apart, though, was our server, Sterling. From start to finish, Sterling was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. His exceptional service turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to come back!

This was an outstanding experience! We enjoyed the 6 course tasting with the wine pairing and it was truly an educational experience. They gave an in depth history of the food and the wine with each course and answered any of our questions with grace. If you’re a foodie, this is a must. We celebrated our birthday and anniversary and really enjoyed the service as well- true service in a restaurant is a lost art but the staff here are genuinely happy to serve you and treat you like royalty. The atmosphere is romantic, comfortable and fun with the live jazz. This is such a treasure of Charleston.

The March 2025 tasting menu included: Spring asparagus with lemon gel and a spiced almond Herb de Provence brioche South Carolina yellowfin tuna crudity with passion fruit, avocado mousse, kumquat, and chili oil Local grouper with lemon risotto and fresh herbs Onion brodo, salt cured and baked Vidalia onion, mushrooms, and black garlic with brown broth Spanish octopus with sunchoke purée, chorizo, and smoked paprika emulsion Prime beef tenderloin with pomme purée, truffled carrots, and sauced perigeaux Poached pears with creme fraiche and cinnamon.

We had a business dinner there for 12 people. Julia was fantastic to coordinate everything with ahead of time. We had a special set menu for the evening that covered the bases so everyone would have something they enjoyed. Everything from the bread service to the delectable main course and after dinner drinks was impeccable. Some of the best service I've received at a fine dining establishment. If you’re gluten free and want (or miss out on) fine dining, you have to go here(!!!). Most menu items were or could be made gluten free. Our server was so knowledgeable about gluten free food and cross contact that I could cry. The menu was also labeled, and our server was aware of the GF designation we had put on our reservation. Food, drinks, dessert, live music, and service were all amazing - can’t wait to come back. 15/10. (Full review on Find Me Gluten Free - this is how we ended up making a reservation here!)

Simply elegant dining at its best in every way. Food , service , atmosphere all top shelf. Our service team of Brian and Ayge were gracious and friendly. Food was delicious. Crab cake as good as it gets. The octopus also delicious. I had the frogmor and my wife the Blanche. Soufflé for desert topped it off.

We spent our 10th anniversary here and I can’t imagine a better experience. We did the tasting experience and every single one of the 6 courses was incredible. Nothing missed. All of the staff made us feel like a VIP but our server, Sterling, truly made our experience a night we’ll always remember. He was so warm and friendly while still maintaining impeccable service. And the jazz band was just the cherry on top. I cannot recommend Charleston Grill enough for a dinner and especially for a special celebration. We’ll be talking about our dinner for years to come.

The place is nice. Staff is accommodating, however our server forgot to order our sons dinner, wasn’t around much for our needs. Brought back our bill to sign but I had to ask him to go get my credit card! Food was sub par. Menu was very small and the options just did not suit our taste.
