The service and the ambiance was a perfect setting to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Beginning with checking in with the hostess, my husband was greeted with birthday wishes from every member of the staff that we came across, punctuated with a signed card waiting for him at our table. The only reason I did not give the food a full 5 stars is that my main course arrived extremely over salted. They were very quick to redo the dish, accompanied with multiple apologies. Overall, it was a lovely birthday celebration with a nice live trio providing background music.Dietary restrictions: Pescatarian, dairy-free

Our organization had an excellent private dining experience in Vitner’s Room within Charleston Grill. The food was delicious, but what I will remember forever is the service. Our servers and sommelier were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, but James truly was a rock star. I organized this dinner as part of a weekend-long company event, so you can imagine the stress involved on my part, especially after a full day of running meetings beforehand, but I was instantly at ease with James’ help. He made sure to take care of all my needs, listened to all the requests I had and was able to anticipate what I needed before I even had to ask. He kept everything flowing smoothly and our directors (and myself) were very impressed with all of his recommendations, professionalism, and attention to detail. I wish every event I organized had a James- my job would be so much easier! I hope someone in management is able to see this review so they know how valuable James is and can share my comments with him so he knows how much we appreciated him and his calming presence. Thank you!

I came there to listen to some jazz music with a decent meal. I ended up listening to an outstanding jazz trio. The food there was the biggest surprise. I am genuinely surprised that this restaurant does not have a Michelin star. I can especially recommend their flounder and a fragrant potato soup. Deserts were amazing as well, including mango candy made in-house.

I made a reservation for my family to watch the Super Bowl through Charleston place website and confused the Charleston grill with Meeting and Market. We showed up at meeting and market at our reservation time and they informed us we did have a reservation, I showed them my phone and they let us know that the restaurant was down the hall (the Charleston grill). Knowing the Charleston grill is upscale and not a fun atmosphere we did not want to eat there and not get to see/enjoy them game. I canceled the reservation. I was charged $75 for canceling the next day. We called the restaurant and stated what had happen. They were no help and basically said oh well. I would say this is NOT the hospitality that other restaurants show in Charleston. This is the only restaurant that has turned a blind eye to its Customer Service. We understand that the policy was stated but they turned a small inconvenience (if any) into 75 dollar fee. I would not recommend this place as there true colors showed without us even attending. I will say the meeting and market staff were very friendly and stated that this has happened because of the way the website is set up.

Outstanding at every turn. Charleston Grill is over the top when it comes to service. Drew & Drew were great. They knew every detail of the menu. The lamb was done perfectly and the Ricotta Gnuti was a good recommendation. Very nice atmosphere with good music. It would be difficult to find a restaurant as good as Charleston Grill. Take advantage of the bar and book a room.

Went for a solo dinner sitting at the bar, the service from Marissa behind the bar was the best I’ve had. Her signature cocktails displays creativity matched with a passion for her career. Elaborate flavors and creative dishes. If you’re about food, this is your place. Biggest downside may be atmosphere but it was made up for in hospitality. Enjoy your dinner!

Fantastic wine list and staff. My partner was raving all night (and still today, from time to time) about the quality of the cocktails. The bar was intimate and full of friendly patrons. Melissa was accommodating, friendly, and timely. She knows the city well, and made great recommendations for us sojourning weekend get-awayers from Savannah.Their by-the-glass list is extensive, and I appreciated the quality of every selection. Very thoughtfully assembled. The Truffle Caviar was mind-blowing! I've never experienced something so playful yet elegant. Somehow it made sense while being totally off-the-wall.The interiors are a bit cavernous and reminiscent of a dining hall, but with such good company and quality wine and food, it all becomes background anyway. Highly recommend this jewel. Our only regret was having more plans throughout the night and parting ways after our wonderful appetizers.

The atmosphere of our favorite celebratory restaurant was excellent. Quiet, well organized, accommodating.Lizzie accomodated a table change closer to the musical duo. Our servers, Delia, Sasha, Shalton, and another lady, were very warm and professional. We had extra requests because of food allergies. These were taken care of carefully and very appreciated. We found the menu selections of the entrees limited. We started with a Jumbo lump crab cake. We opted to split one and were surprised it was one bite each. I would recommend removing the word jumbo to prevent confusion. However, that one bite was delicious. We ordered the lamb loin. After quite a few dinners there before under the supervision of Michelle Weaver, we were excited to have their lamb again. We understand the Chef has changed. While the lamb was good, we were disappointed in the serving size and acutraments. My husband made a request to change from the original recipe because of allergies. This was accommodated. However, these entrees were small and unexciting. One thumbsize of what I think was a bite of cauliflower. The dessert Cigar was the winner of the night! Anunusual dish that looked exactly like a cigar with ashes on an ashtray! Even had a cigar band.It was delightfullyfun and very delicious. Definitely try this! The sorbet was good. We appreciated the lemon custard small birthday cakes and birthday chocolate given at the end. Also, the rolls were delicious. The evening was an overall success, and we enjoyed it.As loyal customers, however, the diversity of the menu was interesting, but left a bit to be desired. Especially with food allergies and faced with more ecclectic menu items. The previous rack of lamb is not easily replaced. Our menu did not offer scallops which was disappointing. Also, be aware, the menu postings on Google are not really accurate and some pictures and reviews were several years old. One menulisted pigeon breast and no lamb. After reading that one, I almost cancelled our reservation. Glad we went anyway.Thank you all again for making our evening very memorable.Dietary restrictions: The dietary restrictions were addressed well.
