Very upset this restaurant was closed. I like the flavor so much and in Charleston area, I don't think there will be another offers the same quality of the tea!

This place is amazing. Eating on a budget but great quality food. I’m a fan!

If Starlight thinks my hand is a toy, it's GNAW TIME If I try to yank it away, it's CLAW TIME And if she breaks the skin, it's SCAR TIME But if you want a decent Boba Tea, it's CHATIME! If you like Burmese food then it's now MYANMAR TIME If you prefer flame-broiled stuff, then it may be CHAR TIME And if you like market food, it's hit-up-a-BAZAAR TIME But if you want a decent Boba Tea, it's CHATIME! And if this tea shop robbed you, it's 2am CROWBAR TIME And if this tea shop pays for music, it's learn-the-GUITAR TIME And if you're dying, but had a crazy life, it's MEMOIR TIME But if you want a decent Boba Tea, it's CHATIME! If you're Bill Clinton, then it's probably CIGAR TIME If you're into anal, then it's always Chocolate STAR TIME And if you're me and Barbie then it's usually BIZARRE TIME But if you want a decent Boba Tea, it's CHATIME! WHAT If it's time to dance, then it's Cha Cha Time. This is not that. I was shocked to find 3 really wonderful boba shops in Charleston, even though they have less than a dozen in the whole area, and this is one of the aforementioned 3. We need to have a chat about Chatime. So this is a brand new bubble tea shop that just opened up a month ago (at the time I tried it) or 2 months ago (at the time I took bae here), and it marks the first time a major chain bubble tea has ever come to Charleston, and it's high time. No I don't mean it's marijuana time, I'm not into that. But you won't feel like it's a major chain cuz the people are running it as if it's their own little mom-and-pop shop, and it's a really lovely place with really lovely servers - and also they're very willing to work with me and make whatever drink it is that I want even if it's quite bizarre. A lot of Chatimes won't do that - these lovely folks will. Yes there was a little upcharge for my extremely convoluted requests, but they made it and I loved it and it accompanied me all the way to Savannah on a late night drive when I was half asleep, and was a pretty damn excellent drink if I do say so myself. So I discovered something on the menu which I absolutely like which is a very strong black tea called the Tieguanyin, and the drink that I had them specially make after that was the brown sugar milk drink, but instead of milk I got milk tea, and instead of the regular milk tea which she admitted is powdered, they did it with the fresh-brewed one - and that is a lot of different steps and off menu stuff they did for me, and I was so happy they did it because it came out so delicious! Their tapioca is pretty good and is doused in brown sugar, much better than the average Chatime tapioca. And pretty much their Decor is brand new and lovely, and their service is excellent. Even though I worry about them because they're not on the main street, I think they'll be okay. Sure, everybody should be on King St in Charleston for sure, but I still think they might do well based on the wonderful service and decor and products, and I have my fingers firmly crossed and I hope everyone in Charleston and everyone that visits Charleston will stop here and get a bubble tea so that this lovely little family can keep their franchise bubble tea shop running forever - they deserve it. One of my faves anywhere. Now if I could turn back time, I'd start this review over, but I can't, so it must be Cher-time.

Wow, if you haven't tried this place then you are missing out! Amazing service, really sweet people, and the food was so fresh! I got the lunch special plus a bubble tea for about $12. The sushi was so fresh and tasty, and the bubble tea was spot on! They can make any type of tea you want which is amazing. Please go and support them! It is right next to school campus and close the king and Mary street.

Chatime is such a fun and cute place to grab a bubble tea with friends. I love that when they opened they had a huge bubble tea blow up infront of the shop. Their bubble teas are very good and well made. I suggest their Jasmine Milk tea with tapioca. Their tapioca have great consistency. Try this place!

Great service and food is sooooo good!! I definitely recommend getting their Signature Bubble Tea and sushi. My friend got the Hibachi Tofu and it is definitely worth the price. Also, you should come during lunch to order their lunch special which comes with 2 rolls of sushi and either bubble tea, soup, or salad. So yummy and I'm going to come again for sure.

Most authentic bubble tea in Charleston. Great sushi too, and great value for the money.

It was so hot outside and we passed by this place and had to drink something to cool off. We decided on a large Strawberry Yogurt smoothie. It was so refreshing and delicious! They had all kinds of smoothie flavors to choose from. The prices were just about right. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Another good franchise Boba Shop, we love the sushi lunch special and the donburi mix fish bowl. Definitely worth checking it out if you're in downtown Charleston for a quick eat! The only downside is parking is super limited to meter and paid parking unfortunately since its located in downtown Charleston, SC. Can't wait for the Summerville/Nexton one to open up!

Having walked by Chatime numerous times while it was still under construction, we were excited to see that it was open for business. There can never be enough boba spots in a city! It was actually a quite spacious unit located below Skygarden apartments. I ordered the oolong milk tea with boba. The consistency and texture of the boba was just right. Perhaps the best prepared tapioca pearls in the city. The oolong milk tea was delicious and not too sweet. Additionally, who knew they served sushi?! The fish used for the sushi was very fresh and tasty. While they do not offer as many fish choices as a typical sushi restaurant, that is probably not a problem for that many people. We were able to manage just fine. There was a large party eating dinner there before us, so it took longer to receive our food. However, the owners were very nice and apologetic for the wait. They gave us a crab Rangoon dish for the delay. Chatime is the perfect place to get a light bite to eat with a tasty drink for dessert.

The last time we were here, we only had drinks. This time, I decided to just grab some dinner. I had to do a bit of detective work to find a sushi menu around the city that had enough "cooked" options due to my pregnancy, and the results were quite limited. I didn't think to consider Chatime as a place for dinner, but once I saw there were a handful of options to choose from, I decided that would be where we would have dinner! A group of 10+ came in for dinner and ordered right before us, so we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for our food. I figured the sushi chef had to roll around 100 rolls for that party before he could get to our order. The staff/owners were well aware of the situation, so they brought out complimentary Cheese Wontons and thanked us for our patience. My husband got the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Eel Cucumber Roll. My husband said the Spicy Tuna Roll was very tasty and really liked the texture from the crunchy tempura in the roll. The Eel Cucumber Roll is a safe and tasty option. I got the Eel Avocado Roll and the Chatime Fire Roll. Both rolls were very good. Of the two Eel Rolls (Cucumber vs. Avocado), we both preferred the Eel Avocado Roll. My favorite roll of the four is definitely the Chatime Fire Roll. I would definitely order that one again! The rolls are priced very reasonably! You cannot beat these prices, considering Chatime is located about a block and a half away from King Street. Chatime, thank your friendly service and your impeccable attention to detail! We will be back soon!

I wasn't a huge fan of the sushi - but for the price is was good! The hibachi was awesome - it's not written on their menu yet, but just ask for it. Awesome lunch specials.
