The food here was amazing. Went with about 8 of my friends from Miami while visiting for a union conference. We put our name on the list and waited for 35 to 40 minutes to be seated. While we waited we went next door to have a cocktail. I must say the food was Well Worth the wait. I will most definitely go back if I ever return.

One of the best seafood restaurants I. Charleston or anywhere. We go to Charleston twice a year and we stop by Chubby fish every time. There is enough variety in the menu that there is always something new and the seafood is just that fresh and spectacular. We’re big oyster fans and they have some of the best. Whether you go for the crudo or ceviche you can’t go wrong. We pair a starter and salad with a dozen oysters and whatever whole fish they have for the eve for a family of 4. Getting a table requires lining up in the sun for about an hour but it is worth the wait just bring sunscreen/hat/fan and get to know your fellow foodies waiting in line. Make sure to leave room at the end for some life raft treats for dessert

Great food. However, as we were ordering our server repeatedly told us we would not have enough food for our party, making us feel uncomfortable and forcing us to order way more than necessary. Left with 4 boxes of things we did not want or need. Will consider his ego next time when debating whether or not the 90 minute wait outside is worth it.

Excellent! Very nice. Oysters on the half shell variety was stupendous. Very good grouper. We got in on a Friday night Looks more like a younger grouper dinner spot.

Always a fun time! The food and service are spectacular!!!
The best food I’ve ever had. I’ve lived in Charleston since 2013, and this is my first time here. Tuna crudo, caviar sandwiches, blue crab tagliatelle, black grouper, garlic chili shrimp, not chicken ice cream. All so amazing. Highly recommend. Service was amazing too!

This is only the second time I’ve waited in line to get a seat in a restaurant, the other was in NY and I had my doubts but it was well worth it. We waited for 20 minutes on a Tuesday behind about 50 people to get an 8pm resey for 2.
We did not request to sit at the bar, didn’t even know this was an option but kudos to the hostess for making our first visit so awesome. The open kitchen concept in a small space, and watching the chefs was really impressive. I could sit and watch them cook all night!!
The food is amazing, the combination of flavors, the freshness, and the creativity!
The portion sizes are just perfect for 2 people to share, so you can try 3 or 4 different things.
We ordered 2 items from the raw bar, the waygu tartare will make your tastebuds go crazy, oysters, 2 small plates, and the bone marrow entree.
Each of the plates were timed just perfect, allowing time to enjoy, and not feel rushed. My favorite was the poached grouper which tasted like it was fresh off the boat and was served in a delicious broth with kale and carrots. Mmmm!
The service was on point, the waitress poured our wine, and our glasses were never empty. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time!

You gotta get there by 4 and get in line. We throughly enjoyed everything we had to eat and got to eat at the chefs counter where all the action was. Bone marrow, stone crab, caviar sammich, lamb ribs all perfect 👌 beer and wine only but good options
