excited to say we finally have REAL italian-american food in charleston! citadel mall food court ambiance not-withstanding; this place is 100000% legit.we had chicken parm over spaghetti and manicotti with bolognese sauce, and they were both absolutely delicious.representative of all of the flavors i grew up eating in my italian-american household, and have been missing so much here. my meal was literally like a trip down memory lane.the pasta (at least in the case of the manicotti shells) was made fresh in house, the sauce is absolutely on point, portions are ridiculously large, prices are reasonable, and the owners super friendly. although we didn't try any, the desserts looked fantastic.. as well as the deep fried calzones.we will be regulars here for sure.

Ok. Wow.A friend of mine told me I had to try the food at this place because of how good it was, then told me it was in the food court at the mall, so I laughed.I just had the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and a piece of tiramisu. It was as good as some of the better Italian restaurants that I've been to in the last few months and better than the average ones. Without having to spend the big money in a restaurant these days, it was a screaming deal for $12.

Tucked inside of the mall next to Chick-fil-A is a phenomenal Italian experience. Simple dishes we all recognize crafted as only a family from the old country could do. Delicious. Must try the maritozzi!
I was in Citadel Mall to get a haircut. Asked my barber how the food was at Bella Roma. He said fantastic. I ordered chicken parmigiana with spaghetti marinara, chicken fettuccine alfredo, and a side of meatballs. The food is fantastic. Generous portions that you can split among several meals, generous with sauce, and seasoned perfectly. They have a repeat customer here. Very very pleased.
