Don’t waste your time with a wanna be pretentious bar. They will stop you at the elevator on a Wednesday at 4 pm and tell you there’s a waitlist, and that they can’t estimate wait times, and that they can’t tell you how many people are head of you, and that they don’t allow standing room… etc, etc. waste of time. Visit their neighbor around the corner for a far better rooftop experience.

If you are in the downtown Charleston area, make sure to set aside an hour to stop in the citrus club and have a mid-afternoon drink while sharing an appetizer and taking in the breathtaking views from the rooftop dining.

My family and I recently visited Charleston and decided to stop here for a drink at the rooftop bar so we could take in the view of downtown Charleston. This is in on a Wednesday, around 2:00 in the afternoon; the place was not busy at all. I have never been treated the way I was in this establishment in my life. First, we were basically reprimanded for making the grievous mistake of moving a chair from an empty table to ours (they brought us a cheap plastic chair to use because the chair we had grabbed was for "other guests"). Which is funny, because I think there were only three or four other tables. Our server seemed annoyed to be having to take care of our table and treated us in a way that made everyone in our group think she thought we were somehow beneath her or undeserving of being there. Our group of six each had one drink and promptly left.
Place is trying way too hard to have hyper exlusive vibes, which probably isn't necessary in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday.
