Chief the bartender went above and beyond talking care of my wife and myself. Be sure to sit in the bar area and hear all his interesting conversations he engages with the patrons. Excellent food and spirits. Highly recommend the crab dip!

Chief is an amazing bartender. Beer was cold, food was good and the bill didn't make me cry. I'll be back!

We went to coast and sat at the bar during the happy hour. You cant beat the specials for happy hour. I had PEI muscles for $10. My husband had half a dozen oysters for $10. The food was awesome. Would definitely go back again.

One of the best meals I've ever had. Grouper was fantastic. Cory is the best bartender ever! Must try if in town!

Charming local with top service and really fine food - a gem of restaurant in a terrific historic building
Everything we ordered was excellent. Had the crab soup, wedge salad (huge), Seafood jambalaya. One of the first places we've been to in Charleston that's is reasonably priced. Decor in unique with high ceilings. We would definitely return.
The location on a cozy alley was cute. The service was great and the food was tasty and servings were ample.
Oysters were delicious. Service was okay, not very attentive and very slow. Asked for ketchup for fries, but never came. Tacos were very soggy.
Had the crab crusted fish - it was 2/10. Green beans were inedible from too much hot seasoning. Rice was a gloppy mess but still crunchy.
Kids fettuccine and shrimp was possibly the best plate at the table.
Service was fast but probably because the food was premade or prepared.
Cold bread service.
Beautiful location.

We had a reservation but wasn't sat for over 45 minutes later. We had a large party, the staff was extremely apologetic and did give us some free appetizers. They were so kind and the food was delicious!
Friends and I have very much enjoyed other restaurants owned by this group, and while the sides, like parmesan mashed potatoes and julienne vegetables were very good, the steak and fish dishes we ordered from the Restaurant Week and regular menus were not up to par.
First time trying this place. Starts off with a charming walk down a quaint (well-lit) alley, this is not on the street. Restaurant features the wood-fired grill front-and-center for you to see. My mom and I both ordered the swordfish, because you don't see that on the menu too often. I got mine adobo style (a bit spicy, with a nice pineapple salsa on top to balance). Fish was cooked perfectly! Very delicious! Service was good, but I think our waitress may have had a bit too much going on, at one point we had to flag someone down to refill drinks. Otherwise, our waitress was friendly and attentive. I appreciated that the music was not too loud. Very delicious overall, and I highly recommend a visit.

Don’t. Please don’t. Please don’t go to this restaurant. The menu looks spectacular and I would have had everything on it. Crab dip was like soggy tuna fish extra mayo with white bread that wasn’t toasted. I still have a metallic taste in my mouth from the “wood grilled tuna” I ordered. Metallic = spoiled fish. No seasoning on anything. Bland everything. Wanted to bring a bottle of wine which they advertise as byob. Corking fee is $25 which is outrageous. Oh! Wood Grilled….no sign of, no taste.of. No smell of ….smoke or fire…or wood anywhere to be found on the food or restaurant which was a huge selling point for us. Horribly disappointed and probably sick tomorrow. Great marketing though!

Giving it four stars overall because of the service and ambiance. It's got a great interior and the server checked on us as soon as we sat down. My wife liked her meal - swordfish. I had the pan seared scallops. The scallops were good but the rice looked grey and the vegetables were just not that appealing. I basically ended up only eating the scallops. We also tried the mesculn blend salad & conch fritters. The salad had too much dressing and the fritters were just off; neither of us liked them - very chewy. Overall, I think if we'd been conservative - fried oysters, shrimp, salmon, etc. - we'd have been happier. I'm not ever going back but with everything else going for the place it's gotta be somebody's favorite. For me, it's a one-off experience, limited sample size, but I was not a happy camper.
