Cold Shoulder Gourmet isn’t just the best sandwich shop in Charleston, it’s a full-blown culinary experience disguised as a casual lunch spot. The owner Craig, is genuinely one of the nicest humans I’ve ever met, and watching him work the sandwich station is like watching Picasso paint… if Picasso had access to truffle cream cheese and fresh-baked focaccia.

Get the Spicy 🥵 with capicola, nduja, truffle cream cheese/hot sauce, arugula, and parmesan. If you’re lucky enough to catch it, it’s a religious experience. Run, don’t walk. 😋

Amazing experience, even better sandwich. Craig was great company, and makes a hell of a sandwich. I had the Spicy Prosciutto and it was a flavor explosion. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

Will definitely be back sooner than later.

Absolutely the best sandwich I've ever had. If your having a bad day one bite will fix everything. If I could give 10 stars I would. The gentleman Craig who makes them is a professional at what he does

Don’t let the name fool you, the sandwich creations that Craig dreams up embrace you more like a warm hug than a cold shoulder. You can tell he’s passionate about his craft by how he carefully describes each ingredient in his sandwiches.

I’m not from the area, but these sandwiches have me looking up real estate in town. Cannot recommend this enough.

Why are you still reading this? Go get yourself a sandwich.

I don’t do online reviews, and I’ll change my behavior just to write this. Came here with my wife on a whim while out shopping and browsing the normal offerings for lunch. We were met with the most welcoming reception possible and an explanation of the offerings. We tried two of the three house offered sandwiches for the day and felt good about every bit of our selection while we made it. The sandwiches were exactly what they were made out to be and honestly it belongs in a different category than any other sandwich you’ve tried. Visit, you won’t regret it.

This might have been the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I had the spicy 2.0 - the black truffle cream is legendary, and don’t even get me started on the capocollo. The owner clearly values quality ingredients and local sourcing, I’ll definitely be returning!

The Cold Shoulder Gourmet will make you reevaluate what a sandwich should be. Also, your life choices, your religion, everything. I found it to be that profound. Turkey and cheese your thing? This isn't the place. If you want to push the limits of taste and pairings in the beloved format of a sandwich this is the guy. I can't describe the sandwiches he makes but i assure you that you've never had a better one. One man show and he is just the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Makes you feel like an old friend. Sandwiches are to go and maybe that's part of his vision. Take his masterpieces somewhere that you can relax and really try to understand what he has created. He sells out early so get there early. I can't rate higher than a 5 but this is truly sandwich art. Deserving of a 100/5
