Food was mediocre. Service and atmosphere were great! We went for lunch and sat outside. Overall we had a great time, but we have had better food

Onion rings doughy, and one had a skin in it.

Very disappointed in my salad. When stated on the menu it is mixed greens then I expect to get just that. My salad was chopped Romain containing only the white hard stalk. I ate the chicken off of it and went away hungry. My husband had the blackened shrimp and was very happy. We are local and love the atmosphere and the view at Ellis‘s. I just expect to get what is described on the menu. That’s all y’all might want to look into buying the mixed greens or changing your menu

Ellis Creek Fish Camp is a well-established favorite for those craving fresh seafood, casual charm, and a laid-back outdoor dining experience. With plenty of open-air seating, guests can enjoy stunning views while indulging in a menu that offers something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for a light bite or a hearty seafood feast, this spot delivers consistently well-prepared dishes that keep locals and visitors coming back.

The fish tacos are a dependable go-to, packed with fresh flavors and just the right amount of spice. However, the standout on the menu is the blackened grouper sandwich—perfectly seasoned and expertly cooked, it’s a must-try for any seafood lover. Complementing the meal is a well-curated cocktail menu, offering refreshing options that pair beautifully with the coastal fare. The beer selection is more limited, but the available choices are well-suited for the setting.

Service at Ellis Creek Fish Camp is top-notch, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff who are happy to guide guests through the menu and drink offerings. Even during peak hours, the restaurant runs smoothly, thanks in part to an efficient parking attendant who keeps traffic flowing in and out of this bustling location. For those looking for a relaxed yet high-quality seafood dining experience, Ellis Creek Fish Camp remains a standout choice in the Charleston area.

This is great if you like seafood. We visited twice and both the burger and chicken tenders were way too salty. It's always crowded on the weekend. Outdoor dining area is pet friendly. You gotta go at least once!

Really nice outdoor seating making it a great spot to go with our dogs. I got the shrimp tacos which were pretty good and my fiancé got the cheesburger which he enjoyed as well. We really loved the catfish bites and what I loved most is they had a dog menu! We order the puppcino which had liver juice and they DEVOURED it!

I took my family on a daycation today. We stopped in and ate. The food was very delicious. The only problem was one of their workers would not stop staring at us to the point of it being creepy. Not ever going back there again. A family should be able to enjoy their meal without the gaulking.

A menu was in the Airbnb we were staying at, so we decided to try it. It was very crowded on a Friday night, but there was a nice young lady directing traffic into the parking lot and showing us where to park. The food, in my opinion, was a little overpriced. I wouldn't have had a problem with the price had the food been good, but it was not. It was so greasy that no amount of napkins could "sop" the grease off that food. Believe me, I tried. We all got something different, and the other three people in my party stated their food was overly greasy as well. The onion rings being the most greasy of all. The pecan slaw was actually good. It had a slightly bitter taste but was still tasty and the best thing I ate there. Everyone in my party enjoyed the slaw. I gave the service 3 stars even though we were never offered a refill on drinks. I ordered water and had to get my own, with no ice. This would have been fine with me had I been told when I paid where to get my water. The waitress did bring me a glass with ice after asking. I usually give a restaurant a second try if it's not good the first time. Sadly, I wouldn't give this one a second try. Maybe they were having a bad night as the restaurant was very crowded. Or maybe people don't know good seafood? The lady directing traffic and the slaw are the only positives I can give this establishment.

I got the shrimp and grits and it was mid, but an hr later I came down with food poisoning. My other friends’ foods weren’t done and they weren’t able to eat it. I think an urgent care sponsorship would do them good. Needless to say, I will never be back.

The service was friendly and helpful, but the food needs serious improvement. My meal arrived after most of my group had already finished eating, and when it finally did, my burger was undercooked—red in the center, despite requesting medium well. Timing and food quality both need work.

The food was delicious, so I hate giving the place only 3 stars but the service was not good at all. The only good interaction we had was the guy who worked the window who took our order. When my husband and I walked up to the window to order, with my baby in my arms, the woman working in the parking lot yelled at us to take the long way around the front entrance to order and would not stop yelling at us to walk around until we did, even though NO ONE was in line. The guy at the window was extremely polite and apologized for her behavior, however, when my husband ordered the combo plate, he only heard grouper, instead of grouper and shrimp, which we didn’t catch until the server dropped our food off at our table (our fault, we should have checked the receipt when we paid). But upon dropping off our food, my husband told the guy dropping the food that he had the combo platter, to which him and the guy working the food window began arguing about how that’s not what my husband ordered extremely loud and started demanding my husband show his receipt, to which the people sitting behind us began staring. Then, a woman reprinted our receipt and showed us that the combo platter was not logged on the receipt, to which we realized a mistake had been made and we continued eating our food. Like I stated previously, the food was absolutely delicious, but I would not come back simply due to being embarrassed twice and being yelled at to walk around in the cold to the exact same window with a 5 month old baby in my arms.

Food was good, hush puppies and calamari were overdone. Shrimp and fries were good. There’s a parking lot nazi who makes you park your full size SUV in a parking spot that says compact vehicles only and then gets mad when you can’t fit. Glad I tried something new but probably won’t come back.
