My first visit was in 2019, when I flew from Denver for an orientation week for a new job. My employer was a few doors down, and this place was easy access for lunch and good times after work.My wife and I since moved to Charleston from Denver, and she had a work meeting here.In 2019, this was a great place to get lunch and dinner. In 2022, even though the name changed, it's still the same. A great place with great food and drinks. The staff is extremely attentive.I'd recommend it as a place to go if you're in Charleston. It's on a different "island", but it's only a 10-20 minute drive from anywhere in Charleston (outside of rush hour traffic of course).

This place is not closed, but I do think it's transitioning into a new name. Their phone service is down though, so you either have to go there yourself, order and pick up, or dine in. My friend and I went there and ordered take-out, and it was only a 15-minute wait to get our food. We got 12 medium buffalo and sweet chili wings to share between the two of us (around $20). I liked the buffalo because it wasn't too salty or sour-y. The sweet chili wings were good too, but it was definitely sweeter than spicy so it was a little disappointing. The carrots and celery were fresh. Also, they were very generous with the amount of blue cheese and ranch on the side. Overall, 7.5 out of 10.

The hot food (not fresh, just freezer food) was cold and the grilled chicken Caesar salad was actually warm (wilted lettuce). It didn’t seem that busy yet we were not approached to even get our drink order until after 8 minutes. I guess it would have been fine if I was expected bar food, but based on previous reviews and the 4 star google rating, I thought it was more. So disappointing. We’ll never be back.

We searched their website and saw they offered brunch, so the last morning we were there we went for brunch.. no brunch menu - just the regular menu, also the hours on the website were wrong. There were a lot of people showing up before 11am because the website said they open at 10am. Food was good, and came out hot. I had the Chicago Hot Dog, but it was impossible to pick up and eat. Kristin was our server, and started off not being friendly, but warmed up. Did like that they have a lot of side options. NOTE - their menu also says prices can change without notice.

Looking for a light dinner on our last evening in the area. We sat outside which would have been fine except it started to rain. Service was slow but our server was in training. The grapefruit mule was delicious. My daughter and I had them. My husband found a beer he liked on the extensive beer menu. I had the BLT which hit the spot, my daughter had the chicken Caesar wrap. We enjoyed our food. The sweet potato tots with the honey butter were good! Definitely be back next time.

Daniel Island Grille was much better, and that’s not saying a lot. Went there tonight, not realizing this place had changed to a new name, Mac’s. My kids wouldn’t eat their hot dogs because they were so shriveled up and dried out, how does one mess up a hot dog?? Fried pickles were not crispy, soggy at best. I had a very difficult time eating my grilled chicken wrap because so much ranch had been dumped on it that it made the wrap mushy and busted open on the underside (where the ranch had settled) before I ever picked it up. Service was okay and beer was cold- the only thing this place really has going for it is the outdoor seating area.Unless you’re craving greasy, fried bar food save yourself the stomachache. DIG wasn’t great but this place is even worse….Daniel Island should have so much better than this. This was incredibly mediocre and won’t be going back anytime soon.

Daniel Island Grill/Mac's Daniel Island Grill (DIG) was recently purchased by the owner of Mac's, a Chicago style sports bar in Charleston, SC. My wife and I have been eating and drinking there several days a week – it has been our locals no frills bar. Since it changed hands it has gone downhill sharply, and it seems from the crowd, customer count has dropped significantly. The food had gone from ordinary/satisfactory to poor/unappetizing. For example, tonight the beef stew was a brown soup with a few pieces of beef, a couple of sliced of carrot, and no potatoes (a stew with no potatoes!). The music at the inside bar has gone from Eric Clapton/Fleetwood Mac/Queen to heavy metal, hard rock, guitar bashing, screaming vocals noise. Not conducive to dining and conversation. At a recent visit with out-of-town visitors, we were informed no food was available because the kitchen manager walked out. Daniel Island and Charleston are two very different places with very different demographics. Despite wonderful bartenders - Skylar, Carly, Michelle, Mallory – this place will need to do better to survive. Daniel island needs a locals bar/restaurant that fits with the kind of people who live and work here. I hope this one will turn around.

I wish we had found this location earlier in our 5-day trip to the area, as we struggled throughout the Charleston area to find restaurants we liked. We had dinner here on the outside deck on a lovely evening. The food was better than we expected for the style of restaurant. Service was a bit slow, but it appeared they, like so many hospitality businesses these days, were suffering from staffing shortages. We thankfully were not in a big hurry. I had the BBQ pork sandwich with fries while my friend had the Philly Cheesesteak with chips. Both entrees were better than we expected them to be. We only drank water with our meal, so cannot comment about cocktails. Prices are typical for the type of location.

First day EVER in this area, and was on a bike. stopped to eat but not a SINGLE server acknowledged me or came my way. Too bad. As a server myself I always appreciate good service. This is NOT the place to get it. I NEVER got served while only 2-3 tables were outside. Try a diff place where your money matters.

The Blu Cheese Burger was great, as were the Frites! Service was excellent. Everything very, very reasonably priced! So why only 3-stars. The place was exceptionally noisy...music was played at head-pounding volume! Conversation next to impossible!Unfortunately, as much as I liked it...I will not be returning!

I went to DIG for my son's birthday brunch. Our waitress was very rude, and I was not impressed with the food. I will stick with IHOP for their omelettes. I will never go back again.

The best team of bartenders ever! Great place to go for a drink and to hang out with friends.

One of my favorite local spots !! Always. Good timeAnd they are open late offering both an awesome regular menu and late night menu after 11. Their Cuban sandwich is myAbsolute fav and I also love their salads too. Their drink choices are great and staff is always friendly !

Nothing offensive or unexpected. Lively live music and fun pub vibe in a weather- protected patio. Haven’t tried the menu in a while but everyone seemed to be enjoying it! Ladies and lads who like your flavored vodkas, they have at least six options for you!
