I’m going to do a honest review , I would say a 7/10 ! Great location , nice and clean environment! But the Philly could have been better , it has that meaty aftertaste! My lemon pepper wings were way too salty I couldn’t really enjoy them , Fries and shrimp were delicious! It’s not a place I would eat again but I’m glad I was able to give it a try !

This was mine and my daughter's first time here we were visiting from Hemingway and Myrtle Beach SC, we were at MUSC with her husband and we were looking up places to eat and we landed on this place everything was so great, we will return again soon, Thanks to all the staff at Danny's Philly Steaks.

I love cheesesteaks. I seek them out when I go to new places. I went here with high hopes considering the reviews.
I was greeted by a super friendly fella who made good conversation in passing. Positive. As soon as my order came in, I heard the guy in the back yell obscenities. I found he did this after every order that came in.
I did wait awhile for my cheesesteak, about 15 minutes with only 5 people in the lobby. Let me tell you every minute of wait was worth it. That angry dude in the back KNOWS HOW TO COOK.
This has to be one of the finest cheesesteaks that money can buy. While a bit pricey at about $18, I would buy it every day of the week if I could. Phenomenal flavor.
My only suggestion would be to add a hot sauce bar so you can choose which hot sauce suits your fancy.

The woman (I’m assuming owner) was so kind and helpful! The food was delicious and great portions. We got the pepper philly, the house fried rice and a big ole sweet tea. Well worth it. Glad we stopped in!

This was the first place I visited once I got to Charleston. I was looking for a quick late bite before my horse carriage tour just a flew blocks away.
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how familiar the place felt despite never having visited. I didn’t feel so out of place. The decor was pretty funny!
The FOH staff was incredibly kind, too! We had a warm and friendly conversation.
My food came out quickly and was hot and delicious! I ordered the supreme garden Philly cheesesteak. It was great! I also had a little barrel juice which I haven’t had since I was a kid.
Overall, it was a great, tasty, and filling meal. I’m grateful that this was my first stop on my trip.

Warning, I am biased because I have known the proprietor for a number of years but I have not been able to visit the sandwich shop due to being out of state. To say I was overwhelmed by the charm of all members of the staff would be accurate. Due to my schedule I elected to takeout my selections (Philly with peppers and one with mushrooms and onions) I was cautioned that the peppered sandwich contained a little heat and being from a State known for hot food I accepted the challenge. It was enjoyable heat.....Oh my. I noticed many customers coming in to purchase the sweet tea and lemonade and I regret not sampling both. That said I have scheduled a return trip to Historic Downtown Charleston to correct my omissions.

I would like to commend the sweet tall lady who assisted us with our orders. She was exceptionally kind, accommodating, and warm throughout our visit. The Philly and mushroom cheesesteaks were outstanding, and we will definitely return to try the other varieties. The cheesy fries were also excellent, with a generous amount of cheese. We were pleasantly surprised when the sweet tall lady offered us a complimentary carrot cake in celebration of our wedding anniversary. It was a thoughtful gesture we truly appreciated. The carrot cake turned out to be our favorite as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has not yet tried it.

If you need a good cheese steak, po-boy, fried shrimp, sweet tea lemonade or just a all out good vibe..... You gotta come to this spot!
The young lady that took my order is not only beautiful but well-informed of the area and history. The master chefs that were in that kitchen definitely did their job. 10stars🌟
