It is such a pleasure to highly recommend this wonderful restaurant! Having spent 4 years in Vietnam with International Voluntary Services during the war, I lived with Vietnamese people, taught at the Saigon Normal School, assisted with refugee resettlement, and learned to cook and enjoy Vietnamese food. I am always so happy when I come across a Vietnamese restaurant where the complex cuisine is authentic. The dishes are made of a variety of very fresh meats and vegetables. The cook at Ha Long doesn’t cut corners: she has the pride to make sure the pho, banh mi, and noodle bowls are true to her country’s traditions.

Hạ Long Café was the perfect stop after my son regretted his choices at the hot sauce store. 😂 Friendly atmosphere. Tasty bubble tea. Will come again next time we’re in town.

What a surprise!
I came here for a quick lunch with a colleague whose friend had recommended it as a good lunch spot.
It was super quiet, but it was lunchtime on a Monday. However, the girl at the counter was so lovely and friendly. This is a very casual, street food style authentic restaurant with counter service.
Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I decided to take a get-away trip to Charleston SC for the weekend!!! This hidden gem was absolutely amazing! It was our first time trying summer rolls and banh mi for the first time! The freshness, the flavor!! We would give this 10 stars! The young girl working there made our visit! Thank you for making us feel so welcome! It’s a must if you’re in the area!!

i got strawberry milk tea with tapioca, and pork dumplings. the milk tea was super good, not too sweet and very fruity. it’s nice that it’s customizable. it was a bit of a wait for the dumplings, but it was so worth it! the dumplings were perfect. super juicy and tender meat with a delicate flavour. the wrapping was perfect, super soft but also nice and bouncy! the sauce on the side was very good as well, not sure what it is though. i come to this place every time i’m in charleston

The tea was good, but they ran out of boba a few minutes before I came, which really took away from the experience. And the dining room itself has a weird vibe.

Best pho I have had in Charleston. Very good. I am super excited to have found this gem because I work down the street. Will be eating here once or twice a week minimum.

The pho is excellent. Takes you back to the streets of Ha Noi.
