The bacon was crunchy! The gravy didn’t need any extra salt & pepper! The chicken was juicy & the omelette with potatoes hit the spot!

I'm tempted to say it's awful just to keep it to ourselves, but this is our go-to diner. Excellent food and the crew is top notch. Gets a little hectic at times, but we've never had a bad experience.
Parking: Lot gets full sometimes. Pay attention to the one-way signs!
Kid-friendliness: Lots of crotch goblins in high chairs on weekends.

Out if all the places we’ve eaten in Charleston all week, this place was the best. Better grits than I’ve had at many fancy restaurants!! Super buttery and seasoned but simple. Shrimp were moist and not overcooked. Pecan crust on the chicken was good, big portion of white meat and a big waffle at a good price. Nice low noise level, comfy little booths (they don’t look comfy but they are really ergonomic!!), and a fantastic chill server. I’ve never had someone make a waffle so well??? I don’t know who’s back there in the kitchen but I bet breakfast at their house is bomb. I’ve never had a cinnamon waffle batter and it was a huge surprise. It tasted like if Cinnamon Toast Crunch was homemade and made with real ingredients, and had the tiniest bit of crisp on the waffle. And the biscuit was fluffier which I usually don’t like but it was amazing. Everything was so simple and great. 10/10 y’all, we’ll be back! Stay unpretentious ?
Delicious breakfast! The pancakes are huge. Great service with a relaxed vibe. My server brought me a to go cup for my coffee without me even asking, so thoughtful.

Excellent food.. I was staying in Charleston and a friend invited me to breakfast there. Drive 15 minutes and get the best / largest breakfast much better than the offerings on the peninsula! And a very interesting environment you will certainly enjoy.
Vegetarian options: Biscuits with jelly. Waffles all sorts of choices.

Great visit. Arrived an hour before closing. Ordered meatloaf and two sides. Meatloaf was good. Mac and cheese were okay. I'm not a fan of the corncakes. It has a pancake type texture. Very good customer service, waiter was a guy, very attentive.
