East Bay Deli - Downtown

Should I be bothered ? Went to pick up a sandwich for MUSC patient and I saw the beautiful cakes. I added a slice of the carrot cake on the young man’s recommendation. He took the cake out to cut when another man said one slice is already in a box. The young man opened a box and said yep! Carrot cake. Now I’m at the hospital and this $10 slice of cake seems to be missing 1/4..

To me it looks like someone ate the edge or ? Bad cut? Very disappointed as he looked inside before giving it to me and what he saw was this and he thinks it is OK? Is it?

On a positive note the French Dip with the potato salad was well received and she remarked on delicious both were.

I had the Rueben and my wife had the Cougar. Both were great. Service was fast and friendly. The manager even came to our table to check on our experience.

Let's just say I'll stick to North Charleston or West Ashley location..... I don't have pictures to prove my disappointment.

The food was absolutely amazing! 😻 My family ordered three cougar sandwiches, and they were the best choice we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back. The only thing I didn’t like was the presence of pets inside a food establishment.

This was a very busy place in the city. People walked in and ordered, and someone brings your food to your table, based on the number that's displayed. The food was very tasty (lots of choices), and the drinks were self-serve. I'd try them again while visiting Charleston.

East Bay Deli offered traditional deli sandwiches, create your own deli sandwiches and desserts such as cakes and pastries! Ingredients were extremely fresh, several bread options were offered and sandwiches were entirely customizable! The sandwich portions were also large (especially with the chips and a pickle). The restaurant had plenty of seating and several parking spots in the shared lot out front. Street parking is also available on nearby streets. East Bay Deli has something for everyone including hot dogs!

Great place to grab a sandwich or burger, especially if your at the SC aquarium or Fort Sumter tour, just a 6- 8 minute walk.
