Gnocchi corn & crab meat was awful. No flavor, no crab meat, barely any corn and Gnocchi was undercooked. Butter bean soup was good flavor but mostly just broth.
Had high hopes on this place, but unfortunately it's over rated.

Excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable service. Take a scenic drive from Charleston accross the marshes to James Island for a change of scenery.
We had goat cheese app, pork tenerloin, shrimp pasta, and chix/waffle. All delicious! Fried chicken with the waffle was 10x better than fried chix at Leon's Poultry and Oysters.
Nice little wine list. Location of actual restaurant and the building itself is clean and nice but unremarkable.

Loved it. Had pho tacos, sweet potato fries, scallops, and short rib with grits and it was all excellent.
My most favourite restaurant, not only in James Island, but in all of Charleston. I’ve been a customer since the day they opened and have been more times than I can count and can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal at Edison. Everything on the menu is incredible. I’m constantly talking this place up to friends and coworkers when they have loved ones in town or just for a great date night spot. Chelsea and Joel are the sweetest souls on the planet and the entire waitstaff are amazing. Stop reading reviews and just book a reservation!

This restaurant lacks quality, the food lacks flavor and taste. The and food is not as expected compared to what is promised on the restaurant website. Also the owner Chelsea is dishonest and disrespectful.

This is a great date night spot and much closer than going downtown (and far leas traffic). We made a family night of it and from the moment we walked through the door we had a great experience. The brussel sprouts were a great starter and the steak frites hit the spot and I had leftover steak for breakfast the next day. My daughter loved the Edison bulb for dessert and I managed to find room for some cheesecake.
The atmosphere and ambiance is cozy without being pretentious, despite the upscale food and wines. Definitely give them a shot if you’re in the area.

Wanted to love this place, but unfortunately it fell flat. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was lacking in flavor, and the cost was high. The chocolate dessert tasted like it was pre made and taken directly out of the freezer. Unfortunately, there are better restaurants in the area, especially if spending this much money.

We sat at the bar, and Nick saw to our every need. He answered our questions about food, wine, and local events. Every bite was delicious and perfectly prepared.

Joshua was our server and was absolutely fantastic! I normally don't do reviews, but he was so personable and helpful, I had too. The food was really great too. The pork tenderloin was so tasty and very reasonably priced. Overall, dinner was phenomenal and this is coming from someone who works in the industry and has very high expectations. I would 10/10 recommend.

Amazing Thai chicken soup, fried oysters (almost ordered more), short ribs, and apple fritters. Friendly service. Husband agreed it was the best meal of our 10 day trip.
