Food is Amaze-balls! Slightly on the pricey side, especially when there's no table-side service.
The food was excellent - fresh tasting and delicious. It arrived at our table quickly. The person who took our order was extremely helpful and generous with his time. Highly recommend.
As a local, I really wanted to love this place since it’s so close to home. This would have been a 4 star review at the start, figuring what can go wrong with a salad and sweet potato wedges (which I was super excited to see on the menu). Paid $23 for the combo. Ok a large salad these days at $15 is average for local spots, only the salad is in an approximate 6” diameter (a bit larger than my iPhone 13) plastic container. Was surprised since asking if in a taco like shell, they said no it’s in a large “bowl”.
When the meal arrived on a tin tray (ok cute cafeteria touch) the sweet potato wedges were burnt black on nearly all of them. I tried but can’t eat charcoal.
This review became two stars worthy when I approached the counter for a fresh non burnt batch, and received (with a seriously defensive attitude) the statement: “that’s not burnt, and it will come out like that again!”
She slammed it in the trash and lo-and-behold the second batch was perfect. Not burnt “again.”
The food is actually good. Only my first experience spending $23 on a lunch like this… not so positive.
I’ve run my own business for 30 years and with good Customer Service, I have learned it will outweigh product insufficiencies. When a problem arises, human beings want to know they’re being taken care of whether it be $23.00, $0.23 or $230.
Bummed. Bad tastes take time to settle. And I have left with just that. It’s not like I don’t have options. But sure wish this had worked out. I’d pay for the conscience but not the bad attitudes.
This is my new favorite place.I just love the crispy Brussels sprouts. The street corn and the margaritas. And the galpo punch. What a great place
Not great but not terrible, but nothing worth going back for
The food was awesome.
Love this lil restaurant! Their chicken is delicious. I could drink the siracha aioli, and I love all of their side item options. I find myself coming here more and more frequently. My James Island go-to spot!
Omg do not sleep on this place like we did! My cousin had been saying how good it was for around 2 years, we finally went and 🤯. I got the dazed and confused with chickpeas instead of chicken (don’t come at me) and it was freaking delicious!! My husband got the Arroz con Pollo and said it was amazing. Why did we wait so long??!! I think because we thought it would be like Moe’s, but no, we were wrong, you know what they say when you assume…. So just go. Now.
Husband is gluten free and had a lot of options available for him. All of our food was delicious and staff was very friendly!
This is the best Latin American food I have had in a long time. I have to adhere to a gluten free diet, and it was no problem here. Foods with wheat or gluten are marked on the menu. I had the rotisserie chicken, which was so tender and flavorful. The charred broccoli was nice and crispy, and the rice was soft and had a milder flavor, which balanced out the rest of the foods. My husband loves the arroz con pollo bowl, and I had some of his plantains. Delicious. The restaurant itself has a relaxed, chill vibe, perfect for the island life. Very clean restaurant and helpful employees.
They offer a variety of drinks in cans and bottles like soda, beer, and even CBD seltzer. Looking forward to going back and trying the wings.

Super friendly service but the nachos and margaritas on happy hour were a miss. The chicken was dry and cold on them but we did like how thick and crispy the chips were. It is a very cute spot with good happy hour specials.
Best happy hour in Charleston!
Favorite James Island spot! Words can't say enough. It has the vibes to hang out with friends or bring a book/your thoughts & reflect on their calming porch. Go and enjoy the amazing food(flavor), PRICES, friendliness, and afterward, go walk on the beach down the road.
*Everyone should go to their happy hour at least once and keep the support*
Best happy hour in Charleston!
Delicious fresh and flavorful chicken and tasty sides! We’ve only had takeout from here but when we picked up the food (which was prepared quickly and perfectly) the restaurant was clean and had nice ambiance. Only a 10 min ride from West Hartford and worth it. Portion sizes are perfect and prices are very reasonable. So happy we discovered this place- we will be regulars!
Highly reccomend. Amazing food at a great price. What more can you ask for? Other than for great service; which they have in spades at this family owned and operated chain. Got to meet the owner and discuss, among other things, other businesses they suggested we visit while in town. Honestly, someone I'd love to work for, as a cook for 20 years from Florida.
Salad was full of so many flavors, everything was super fresh, and they let you easily add/sub ingredients. A few bites in and I'd already decided this place will be one of my go-to food spots. Highly recommend.
