Honestly, I home cook meals that are as good. Not saying that as a brag, but just didn't do it for me the way I see this place reviewed. If you're not a home cook, it might be a nice change of pace, and it is healthy food, which is nice. The food was indeed good, but I just felt like... I could have cooked it.

The Chicken and sides were really good, so was the rum based drink that I tried. The best thing was the special side- Corn on the cob.
There is no greater bowl in Charleston than the Spent Bowl at El Pollo Guapo. I regularly drive COMPLETELY out of my way to get it for lunch. Order it. Re-order it. You won't be sorry.
