Went here for a birthday dinner tonight with 11 others. No one else eating dinner only drinking outside. The food is not good at all especially for the price.

Our experience at Élevé absolutely exceeded expectations. On Monday, we gathered with friends for a delightful rooftop dinner that felt both elegant and relaxed, with remarkably artful cuisine, a chic rooftop garden ambiance, and breathtaking views of downtown Charleston’s cobblestones made it unforgettable. Then on Tuesday, we returned simply for a glass of wine at sunset, and that alone felt like magic.

What truly elevated the experience was the service. I didn’t catch the server’s name Monday but she was fabulous. On Tuesday, Hannah was a true highlight, warm, bright, and effortlessly attentive. Both servers navigated the evenings beautifully.

The setting is one of Charleston’s most artful dining destinations, with an elegant rooftop garden and an inventive coastal cuisine rooted in Southern and French flavors, where every detail, from the herbs to the presentation, is intentional. The vibe borders on whimsical: a rooftop wonderland where art, cocktails, and culinary design converge.

Élevé isn’t just a dinner, it’s an experience you want to savor again and again. If you’re in Charleston, plan to stay awhile, and ask for Hannah.

Elevé Rooftop has a gorgeous atmosphere with good views and a really nice vibe; definitely a great spot if you’re looking for drinks in a pretty setting. That said, the food doesn’t live up to the prices. The portions are small and the flavors just don’t match the cost. I’d recommend this place for cocktails and ambiance, but not for a full meal.

Looks nice, good rooftop view but inside the restaurant is hotter than outside. Broken AC, muggy, no air flow. Thought we'd eat dinner here but only ended up ordering appetizers and actively made reservations elsewhere at the table before quickly leaving. We were practically the only people dining. There are definitely better places in Charleston to eat.

Chic Rooftop Dining with Great Bites and Quiet Vibes

The rooftop has a quiet, laid-back atmosphere—perfect for conversation or a slower-paced evening. We loved the cute outdoor tables, which added to the charm without feeling crowded.

The food was the standout. We tried the calamari, salad, and chicken wings—all were absolutely delicious. The calamari was light and crispy, the salad fresh, and the wings were perfectly fried—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The Korean BBQ sauce was a highlight, with just the right balance of sweet and heat.

Cocktails, however, were a bit hit or miss. They were creative but leaned overly sweet. One included a melted popsicle, which made for a fun presentation but didn’t quite work for my taste—perhaps better suited for someone looking for a playful, dessert-style drink.

Overall, Élevé is a beautiful spot for a relaxed rooftop dinner with excellent food. Worth a visit if you’re seeking a quieter lounge experience in Charleston.

First and foremost, the service here is excellent! Allen was so knowledgeable about the menu and a pleasure to talk to (pictured in the center).
The peach tart had a light and fluffy cream filling with fresh peaches and was not overly sweetened. The show stopper of the night was the exclusive summer feature “Agua Rosa”. The watermelon popsicle combined with Tajín on the rim and smooth tequila made the drink our absolute favorite. We also tried the coco cabana which was delicious and refreshing. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Friendly staff and atmosphere. However, the food is mediocre at best. Airports and cafeterias have better food. What’s worse than poor quality is the pricing is no where near acceptable for the quality. It’s truly criminal to charge people for what’s given.

Out \u0026 About

If you look at my profile history, you’ll see I typically give good reviews, I choose to focus on good businesses to talk about, “pay it forward”. But when I feel I’ve been taken advantage of and sold a bad bag of goods, I’m going to let you know. Do not DO NOT in capital letters pay their $75 For the Fourth of July party. It’s a rip off. Everyone complained the same. What they don’t tell you is how far away the fireworks are that you can hardly see them let alone hear them. They charge $75 for access touting it’s the place to be for the firework plus $25 for a buffet with hamburgers and hotdogs and potato salad plus store-bought cookies, (which we knowingly paid for thinking the view was worth it), only to get cold hotdogs that were never fully cooked and hamburgers that were cooked an hour before we even arrived, so they were dry. Nothing fresh or of quality. It was picnic food & they couldn’t even get that right. The night was beyond disappointing, it’s a shame that a business would take advantage and sell to tourists like this. At the very least, they could’ve put in a proper effort with the food.
