Stopped by Eli’s Table for a nightcap with some friends and had a great experience. Ben (aka Baltimore) actually convinced us to come in while we were nearby, and we’re really glad he did. He was super friendly and welcoming!

Ty the bartender made awesome drinks and even made lollipops for us at the bar, which was really fun to watch. Ben even walked us back to our nearby hotel afterward, which was such a thoughtful gesture.

Great drinks, great people, and a really welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

First trip to Charleston and Ben and Ty made it unforgettable! They were incredibly pleasant, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Their kindness and great attitude truly made us feel at home. On top of that, the food was absolutely wonderful, every bite was delicious. Thank you both for making our visit to Charleston such a happy and memorable experience! 😊

Eli’s table is our favorite restaurant in Charleston. We live in Vermont and try to get to Charleston at least yearly and we always make reservations for Eli’s table for one of our nights ( usually the last night so we can savor the experience) I am a Shrimp and grits connoisseur (self proclaimed) if we’re here for a week I order shrimp and grits every night at every restaurant we go to! Each place is different in their style of preparation. This visit we were only in town for three nights, Hymans makes a good Shrimp and grits, very predictable and consistent. High Cotton disappointed me, the service and atmosphere was top notch. The Shrimp and grits really bad. I must say I was a bit apprehensive when I saw Eli’s had changed their Shrimp and grits recipe. But, OMG… they were perfect before, now they’re out of this world delicious! Many layers of flavor that all worked so beautifully together! Making me wish I had room for another portion but I was stuffed after the yummy fried green tomato salad, the three different kinds of breads they served and my huge portion of Shrimp and grits! My husband had the filet with pimento cheese mashed potatoes. He raved over and over on how delicious everything was. Our waitress, Leanne was so attentive and friendly and had the prettiest smile! She made great recommendations and we took her up on all of them! Alyssa, checked in on us to see how we were enjoying ourselves several times as well. Everyone was so nice and genuinely cared about our experience. We will be back every chance we get!

What a great find!! Eli’s is a gem. The service was great, from the wonderful hostess, to the waiter.
The food was incredible (I had the shrimp and grits variation). I was told they had a new chef. He will quickly have a line of followers waiting.
The cocktails were well prepared, and the Marlborough Sauvignon was the perfect match.
The barman was knowledgeable about the offer and what to pair.
The three courses for $55 was a good deal as well.
I will be back (hopefully it will not be to a long wait by then. Good places tend to fill fast).

Our server Ben was good. The food was not. Our fried green tomato salad had undercooked tomatoes and the cheese was still in shreds. The ribeye steak was overcooked and sent back at $100. The second steak came out correctly, but it was not a good piece of meat. The crab cake was very salty and overcooked (the turf part of the surf and turf). The shrimp and grits said it had coconut and came out with shrimp, salsa, pesto on top of grits. None of the food was good. Mediocre at best. We wanted to like it, but it was not good at all.

Such an exceptional experience tonight at Eli’s! The staff were SO welcoming, Louis is the true example of southern hospitality! He made our daughter feel like a Princess, offered my husband and I complimentary champagne, and took some time to get to know us in between taking our orders. The food was even better than when we were here a few years ago. The French onion soup with marrow and fried onions was luscious! The creole coconut shrimp and grits had a delightful sweetness and tons of flavor. The glazed salmon was crispy and tender. And the beignets were a hit for the three of us! Light and crispy with a tasty caramel sauce. Eli’s Table will continue to be a staple for us when we visit Charleston!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Eli's table. Lewis and his team were very welcoming and showered us with great southern hospitality. This was the first restaurant we encountered on our search for dinner when we arrived in Charleston and we needed to look no further. We stopped to read the menu and Lewis came out and chatted with us and about the menu. After explaining my difficulty with intolerances he was very happy to accommodate so we decided to dine here. They modified my meal (thanks Chef) so I could enjoy it and my hubby really loved the risotto. It was such a big deal to us so we didn't have to walk around looking for a place with something that I could possibly eat. If you're looking for a restaurant with that great southern hospitality and great food try Eli's table.
