This place was amazing! The atmosphere was divine and drinks were like tasting the nectar of some forbidden fruit that the world never told us about! But my only set back was Brendan, or Brenden the manager who kinda made me feel like a second rate customer, or that I didn’t belong. Maybe I didn’t “look” like his particular brand of customer…but the place itself was amazing!

Brendan was EXTREMELY rude to my date and me. He even went as far as to tell another group of young ladies, I was saying despicable things I was saying about them (which was completely untrue). I don’t know if he has a crush on one of them or my date - but it seemed as tho he was trying to impress them. We were so embarrassed we had to leave the restaurant

An absolutely wonderful evening spoiled by the incompetence of the managerial staff. I believe his name was Brandon or Brendan, regardless he ruined a fine date night, he was rude, condescending, and patronizing - my girlfriend was constantly interrupted and spoken over, and I was treated as if I was some two-bit customer. The food and venue were fantastic, but front office needs serious rearrangement. Sad to say honestly.

I brought my company to Fiat Lux expecting a professional and welcoming experience, but unfortunately, it was anything but that. The biggest issue was with the manager, Brendan.
From the moment we interacted, his attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of creating a comfortable atmosphere for guests, he made my entire company feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. It was clear he had no interest in providing quality service or even basic courtesy. For a manager, that’s unacceptable—and it set a negative tone for the whole visit.
A place like this could have potential, but poor leadership drags everything down. Until Brendan’s approach to customers changes, I can’t recommend Fiat Lux to anyone who values respect and professionalism.

Quite a remarkable environment, menu, and the food. Unfortunately this was completely ruined by Brendan. This “manager” is crass, disrespectful to his staff and customers. I can’t believe they are allowed to carry themselves in such a demeaning toxic way. 5 star without that toxicity 🤯

This place is horrible. Manager makes people uncomfortable and asked for the number of our 16 year old daughter when we were there. Brendan? Something like that. Wears his hair like a rooster. We will never go back and plan to file a report with the Hotel and local police if possible

The place is chic and sexy, The chicken sandwich was an extremely small piece of chicken that didn't even Cover 1/3 of the bun. For the price of $22 for a chicken sandwich and fries the sandwich needs to be a respectable size. It was an insult to serve this to your guest just because they are spending $500-$700 nightly to stay in your hotel.

We had such a great experience at Fiat Lux inside the Hotel Bennett! Brendan was incredibly friendly and attentive—he truly made our night. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The highlight of the evening was the stunning view of the Charleston skyline at night—absolutely breathtaking and the perfect backdrop to unwind and enjoy the ambiance. A must-visit spot for great service and unforgettable views!
