Dropped by Fiat Lux to grab a cocktail in a state of depression which was the most rewarding decision of my entire life. The drink was standard but the service and friendship that the bartender Patty treated me to was a biblical experience. Not only is this handsome man a shining light with the most beautiful smile but he’s a beacon of wisdom and advice for anyone in need.I’m convinced he will go extremely far in any organization and any company will be blessed to acquire such an asset.P.S. Ladies, I think he’s single but the ice girl (Ryan) is pursing him aggressively, so move quickly

Fiat Lux is a beautiful rooftop lounge located within the Hotel Bennett. We visited this lounge a number of times during our stay at the property and had fantastic experiences each time having drinks and small bites outside on the rooftop couches. This is a great spot to visit on a nice weather day!

Cooper & Camille were the most pleasant people I have experienced. They provided great customer service from the time we arrived from the time we left. The drinks were awesome as well. We will definitely be back because of them.

Stopped in for a drink on the rooftop bar as I was told it was a place to visit. The views are pretty great, and I did enjoy my drink. I almost sat at the bar and turned to see there were empty tables on the terrace and opted to sit out there. The bartender encouraged it, but never said we're not serving those tables, etc. So, I sat out there for about 10 minutes with no service. I came back in and sat at the bar and was served immediately. If you aren't servicing the tables on the terrace, let your customers know.

Ugh. I was not a fan of this place at all. The space itself is small and the clientele was just strange. The bartenders were not hospitable at all. Every other f&b employees we met in Charleston were kind and welcoming and I did not feel this at all in this bar. One couple was making out at the end of the bar and there was one man at the bar that the bartenders were enamored with and they focused solely on him and his friends. Not impressed at all for the price.

This is a very cute and very small roof top bar at the top of the Bennett hotel. It's a nice place to have a drink especially at sunset. The view is quite nice. It's very hard to get food up here so don't plan on eating anything or getting some nibbles. This is really purely a place to get a cocktail. They have a tv that plays the sports games too if that's your thing. Not a bad place to have a nice cocktail and watch the game.

Amazing vibes, decent view of the sunset. Cocktails were subpar, especially for $18-$20 each. Martini was watered down heavily, margaritas was 90% simple syrup. Service was slow but kind, standard for south of the Mason Dixon. Would go here again bc the prices don't match the quality.

The Hotel Bennett is a great hotel, reminiscent to The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas. The service from the doorman to the front desk was flawless. The rooms are luxurious although slightly small. The location is great. The servers for breakfast in their restaurant were as good as they get. Also the pastry shop in the hotel sold some of the best pastries we have ever eaten. I will return.

My husband surprised my son and I with a trip to Hotel Bennett for our birthdays. It was by far the most amazing service and accommodations we have ever experienced. From the minute we walked in the door, we were warmly greeted and shown to our beautiful suite. The accommodations were beautiful, clean and comfortable. The pool, spa, Kings Club and restaurants on property were all on point and well staffed with caring staff members. What really made our stay was the exceptional service we received at the Kings Club. Alanna immediately greeted us and we had drinks in hand within minutes. She was so helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay. She ensured my husband had perfectly cooked eggs at breakfast, delivered my lunch to the pool, and suggested a great sparkling rose to sip by the pool. She was even able to make us a reservation for Hall’s Chop House at 6:30pm on a Saturday night despite me trying several times without success. Our lunch at Gabrielle was amazing. The cocktails were fabulous and they even sent a plate of macarons to the table for our birthdays. The food at Kings Club was fantastic. So many breakfast options. Salmon, green beans, potatoes, and salad for lunch. Evening appetizers were also a treat- coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail, Brie wrapped in phyllo, spring rolls……. I could go on and on. We also enjoyed a poolside cabana with a refrigerator filled with sodas and bottled water. There was lovely poolside food and drink service. We were never in need of anything because the staff ensured all of our requests were met. The spa was so inviting and relaxing. Best massage I have ever had! We could not have asked for a better stay. We were treated like royalty! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I will not be returning to Hotel Bennett. The hotel grounds itself were beautiful, rooms were clean, and staff was very friendly. However, we left our trip feeling disappointed due to the hotel's inability to recover my valuable items that I inadvertently left behind and it's left a lasting negative impression on us. Upon checking out, I realized that I had forgotten my Tiffany's diamond necklace on my bedside table and two new yoga pants in the hotel room drawer. I knew it would be a long shot due to the value of jewelry, but I had faith in humanity and maintained a positive outlook of my situation. I immediately called the hotel's lost and found department to let them know and after searching, the security team was not able to recover any of my belongings. I hate to admit but my mind immediately questioned the integrity of their housekeeping staff. I emailed Scott Macdonald, who manages the Lost and Found team, but after a week I have yet to receive a reply. We've spent thousands on our stay (which we were happy to spend) but now having lost thousands in personal property...we can't help but feel undervalued as guests and sad/frustrated with our experience. While I understand that hotels are not responsible for lost and stolen items, I just don't feel confident that my belongings are safe at this hotel so I regret to say that I cannot recommend Hotel Bennett to other travelers. Hoping this review serves as a warning and encourages the hotel to make improvements with their housekeeping staff.

From the moment we walked through the magnificent doors of Hotel Bennett and until we exited through those same doors that final morning of our stay, our time here was truly magical and special. Everyone was always pleasant and greeted you with a smile. The service was impeccable. We had the pleasure of working with Kevin McQuade, the most amazing concierge, to plan our trip. Kevin took the time to speak to me several months before our stay and planned a very personalized visit for us. My son loves nature, so the eco-tours and visit to Francis Beidler Forest, were wonderfully spiritual. If you are planning a trip to Charleston, look no further than Hotel Bennett and let Kevin help you unlock the secrets of Charleston that will make you visit as special as mine.

Hotel Bennett is in a great location on King Street opposite a small park, so you get the benefit of proximity to many of the local amenities coupled with tranquillity. The rooms are very nice and very clean. Service at the hotel was exemplary with all staff very friendly and efficient. Special shout out to Joseph, the concierge who managed to get us a reservation at Halls at a sensible time when all other attempts had failed! We'd happily stay here again.

We stayed here the weekend of 07/21/2023 for our Anniversary. It is our second stay at Hotel Bennett. They never cease to amaze. James, one of the front desk managers really made our experience wonderful. He offered us sparkling wine when he realized it was our 10 year anniversary. He even called our room once we were checked in to ask us how we liked everything. James really knows how to treat customers. The bar staff upstairs and downstairs did seem a little understaffed but they were all trying their best and doing a great job keeping up with orders. The coffee shop downstairs also has amazing coffee, quiche, and pastries. Hotel Bennett is well worth the splurge!
