A great sushi place with a nice and cozy atmosphere. The staff is really nice and friendly. The sushi is fresh, with the sashimi melting in your mouth, and it didn’t take too long for the sushi to come. The only thing is that the rolls appeared to be hastily made. Everything else is good.

Came in yesterday around lunch with family and our server, Jester, was amazing — super patient, kind, and very accommodating. Five stars to him! The food was okay. I ordered from the lunch menu and got the eel and avocado roll, which was mostly avocado with barely any eel. Also tried the spicy tuna roll, but the minced tuna made it too mushy for my taste — would’ve preferred a whole fillet. Overall, I had a good experience thanks to the service, but they definitely need to improve portion quality/quantity

Came in for lunch on a weekday. Service took way longer than expected considering how many people were there. The food was good but nothing to rave about.

Hostess was indifferent ( blonde tall girl). Sat us at 4:10 pm. We were ignored for 14 minutes. Server arrived with water and apologized for wait. Many others walked past us while he was tied up and ignored. Appetizer came out of kitchen AfTEr sushi came out. Probably won’t be back with all the other choices for similar sushi in town.

The food was decent but the service was terrible. We were a group of 6, and the server forgot one of our entrees and messed up another. So 2 out of 6 people were waiting for their food while everyone else was eating. The food came out cold. The soup and salad came out AFTER our entrees. We had to ask for silverware and soy sauce multiple times. We barely saw our server, had to track them down to ask for more water, which was served in plastic cups... our serve was lucky we were a group of 6 and 20% was automatically added to our bill because the service we received did not match up to a 20% tip. Not sure I'll be back

I visited this restaurant for the first time on a weekday in May 2025, and had lunch. It was superb! Delicious food, good service, good music, and a very attractive interior..... and this little storefront eatery is located right there on fashionable King Street. I highly recommend Fuji Sushi on Upper King.

Our serve Camille honestly ruined our experience by forgetting 4/5 of our dishes as well as reaking of weed. To top it all off, she offered us shots to make up for our lack of food when we were not even drinking alcohol. Food was pretty good so it was quite unfortunate to have such a distasteful experience.

November Roll, Fresh Spring Roll, & Firecracker Roll was so delicious and fresh. It was extremely flavorful! The atmosphere was clean and laidback, which I loved. I definitely would eat here again and would recommend for friends.
We went in for dinner last night while we were visiting my sister and wow the food was great but our server Carter did an amazing job. He mentioned it was only his third day and you could see he was a little stressed 😅 BUT he always came back to check on us as soon as the food came out and overall gave us fantastic service. Can’t wait to come back next time we are in town. Will def be requesting him as our server.

I’m a honest reviewer…. You can look at my history…. Our waiter Josh was amazing!!! 💕So we lived in Japan for three years sushi is always will be my first love…. So I ordered the love boat for two… (for me only) ps it was not served on a boat as I thought it would be. (The name) so I requested Nigiri and Sashimi mixed , Josh I don’t do spicy stuff period no wasabi please extra ginger. (dietary restrictions) I received all Nigiri and a small a 4 piece tuna roll and it was very riced up compared to the sushi. It def did not fill me up even with my miso soup.. so I ordered the tuna martini appetizer asked specifically not spicy 🥵 and It was … so it was not my best experience will I go back not sure we will see. Management didn’t come over. Poor Josh but hands down he was amazing… Great ambience Great location Great service Military honored I should have gotten the regular rolls loll they looked amazing going to other tables..

We asked for outdoor seating, there were several empty tables in view (nobody sat there while we dined). They said it was too full and instead sat us inside by the musty lawn furniture stored in the back.

Recently moved from CA to SC last year and we’ve spent months driving all over the state (and surrounding states) trying to find good sushi. Finally found it here at Fuji last month and we’ve been back twice since! Both the service and the food are great!
