Fulton Five is absolutely the most charming, elegant and delicious Italian restaurant I've visited outside of Italy. Truely impeccable and I cannot wait to return on my next visit!

As soon as I heard the words “chocolate and espresso-crusted filet,” I was obsessed with getting a taste of it.

Found this place by accident last night; what luck! Food was phenomenal, service (Alicia) was excellent and the atmosphere was perfection. Gave our compliments to the hard working chefs back there. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience; what a find! One of the highlights of our trip.

Another fantastic evening at Fulton 5. Our waiter Ryan was awesome and made great suggestions on dinner and our wine by the glass. This is a must visit restaurant in Charleston. Awesome dinner and great venue.

Ryan was our server, he was great. The food was excellent. Ryan recommended our appetizer, the one that has been on the menu for about 28 years I believe he said. I can't remember the name but it was cheese and wilted romaine (I know it sounds gross, but it's so good) and a balsamic reduction. I ordered the special which was grouper and lump crab meat. It was phenomenal. I also ordered the Fulton Fizz as well and really liked it. I was concerned the basil might be too strong but it wasn't, it's nice and bright. The hubs tried the scallops and those were excellent as well. They are soft and cut like butter. We tried a handful of dessert items as well, tiramisu, panna cota, mouse cake... all were good although the main course was definitely the highlight.

This was suggested by several local friends. They were terrific ! Don’t let seeing traditional Bolognese on the menu fool you. I make Bolognese from scratch all the time and love to compare recipes and tastes. It was very good, true to including pork, veal and beef. My wife had the shrimp pasta with dried tomatoes and loved it. Great selection of wines from reasonable priced list as well as a reserve list. Service and overall experience was special too! You will love it!

This is a small, cozy, Italian restaurant, hidden on a side street. Locals favorite. We managed to get a reservation early, and you need one, so we were good. We started off with a romaine salad, then the pasta special, and the Duck confit tortellini, we got half portions, as the regular portion is too much food. The house Gelato was super. I highly recommend it. Service was on point. Being small and tight, it's a little noisy/busy; just our type of place.

This past Thursday night 6 of us went to dinner at Fulton Five for the first time. We arrived early - 6PM - and were one of the first in the restaurant. The restaurant is on a small street off of King. It felt like a restaurant in the Little Italy section of New York - very cozy. We ordered wine and our dinners right away since we had an appointment later that evening nearby. The wine and warm bread came out quickly and then we waited...and waited. The restaurant began to fill and we noticed that people who came in after us were getting their meals. And we waited. After almost an hour my friend asked the waiter about our dinners and was told that "it takes more time when you don't order appetizers" !! Never heard that one before. Finally the meal came out.All was very good - scallops done correctly, shrimp and pasta good and my Osso Bucco was very good. We asked for the bill when the food was brought out so we didn't have to wait any longer and then we saw that an automatic 20% percent gratuity was added onto the bill for a party of 6 or more. During the hour we waited the server never came over to the table to ask if we wanted more wine or bread which we had finished or to say anything about the wait until we asked him. There was no reason for him to care since he had his 20%. He never apologized for the wait, ask about dessert or even ask if we'd like a coffee. It's not the waiter's fault for a kitchen delay but in every good restaurant I've been in when something like that happens at least you have a server that's somewhat attentive often offering another glass of wine on the house . Our waiter - nothing for an hour. Given the choice, we all agreed that we would have tipped at most 15% and probably 10%. We also agreed that we would go back - but sit an another table!!

Was really excited about this place and it was a major let down. Everything was mediocre. The biggest let down was my steak. There wasn't a drop of salt or any other kind of seasoning on it. It was raw when it first came out as well. Had to send it back. Finally when it was cooked (after wife was done with her meal that wasn't good either) the steak tasted like they soaked it in water then threw it on the grill. We will not be back!
