They were not that busy when we dined, but the service was excellent. This may be the most beautiful restaurant in Charleston! My wife had a filet mignon and she said it was excellent. I had a grilled veal chop. It was tasty, but a little tough. The vegetables were family portions in size, but well cooked and enjoyable. I will go back and if you are looking for a romantic restaurant, this is the one!
Always love this restaurant. Rick, our server, was terrific! Entrees were outstanding. The Caesar salad was disappointing. Very little flavor, and it's on the plate as if it came out of a mold. Should serve a freshly made salad table side for the price.
Appetizers were great, shrimp cocktail, and raw oysters! Entrees, crab cakes tasted fishy, absolutely no lump crab meat. Shrimp and grits, the shrimp were absolutely dried out, the grits had no flavor, we've had better meals at very much cheaper/local restaurants in our home town of Williamsburg Virginia. Desert, bread pudding was okay, nothing to brag about. The best part of our experience was our server, JB, if not for him and my lovely wife, the night would've been an absolute bust. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant, beautiful inside and great location. I wish we could've had a better experience. We should've know better, since there was a challenge to make reservations, most tables were empty. I hope it was just a off night for the chefs.
A wonderful very elegant fine dining resturant.Clark the bartender is excellent As well as Jimmy our server was outstanding! Filet was excellent, wine selection amazing And the service A+. 20th wedding Anniversary with Grill 225!
Absolutely fabulous! Our best meal while visiting Charleston. Kyle was terrific. We sat upstairs which was lovely.
We have not been to Grill 225 in a couple of years. In the past it was our favorite restaurant. This time it was not as FANTASTIC as previous experiences. It is still very good but not outstanding.
Our order of crab cakes was overcooked, but the server replaced the crab cakes with perfect cooked crab cakes. The chef gave us two desserts on the house.
Not the best experience. The food was under seasoned and the drinks were bitter. We kept asking for it to be fiixed.
We absolutely love Grill 225. Second time around was as fabulous as the first! We felt special and will do it again soon!
Everything was perfect. The food and service were both exceptional. Would highly recommend!

Had a great time taking my Sister for her Birthday for the 1st time. I have been there many times over the years. She was quite thrilled by the experience. The food was great! She thoroughly enjoyed her chocolate nitrotini, as did I. The wait staff was exceptional and we cannot wait to go again. Thanks Grill 225!!
Food and drinks are very good. I went with one other person, and we ordered about 4 appetizers, along with a salad, instead of getting a true dinner. This was a phenomenal choice as we got to taste multiple dish’s. All dish’s were delicious.

The food is absolutely top 10 in the city. A truly elegant steakhouse with a southern gone with the wind feel.
This was one of my favorites. NOT ANYMORE and off my list for family, friends and recommendations to travel agents. New York strip was tough and the hash browns came out black - beyond crispy. Inedible! The server tried to push us to get french fries because they would be faster. Server didn’t offer to keep the steak or make another and serve food together. I fault the kitchen not server. Only thing worth it was the nitrotini. Go to another steakhouse in Charleston. And they still charged us for the hash browns. Disappointing!
