Great bagel shop! Very busy- definitely recommend ordering ahead for pick up. Walk in on a weekend has a wait but they were very efficient! Only complaint was they didn’t toast the bagel (and I asked) and when asked for light cream (amount) it was packed but taste was great! Great coffee bar as well.

Amazing little hole in the wall. Bagels were amazing! Lox Deluxe bagel was amazing. Owners are from North Jersey and the cream cheese and Bagels were awesome. Coffee (cold brew) was awesome too. So glad we checked it out while we were in Charleston.

Our only regret throughout our entire engagement celebration in Charleston, was not coming to Holey Bagels sooner! We stopped in on the way out and had an amazing experience. The food is chef level amazing quality. The service makes you feel like you’re home. This is a must visit if you are in Charleston.

I was excited to try Holy City Bagels while visiting Charleston. I’m from the Jersey Shore and take my bagels seriously, so I had high hopes. My mom and I waited in line for about an hour, even though I had placed a mobile order ahead of time. When I got to the front, I was told it would still be another 15 to 20 minutes. I did get my food, but I was rushing to catch a flight, which made the whole experience stressful.
What made it more frustrating was that two people behind us in line got their orders before me, even though I had ordered well in advance. The staff was doing their best, but they were clearly overwhelmed. A more efficient system for handling mobile orders would make a big difference.
Heads up: If you place a mobile order, make sure you have plenty of time. Ordering ahead doesn’t necessarily mean a shorter wait.
Omg! I cannot believe I went so long without trying Holey City. My first time here couldn’t have been better - I was unsure of what to try first, but the barista recommended me the chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese (Thank you, Jessie!!!) And wow. I literally felt like I was eating a chocolate covered strawberry, it was SO good! And I got an almond milk iced latte with honey, it was honestly better than most lattes I’ve had at cafes in Charleston. Thank you for an amazing time Holey City!!!

The place was packed. However, the staff and the speed at which they served everyone was amazing. The food and coffee was AWESOME. My wife had the breakfast bagel and I have the onion bagel with vegetable cream cheese and a slice of tomato. Again the food was off the hook. A special shout out to Jessie the cashier. She greeted us with a smile and offered up some great recommendations, such as the iced chai tea. Highly recommend and go see for yourself what a wonderful place.
